  1. Saw Pedal_Menace and T-Man (MTBbaaithing) only .... Any other hubbers there? I was clearly marked (tattooed and hub band). Had a blast but man those hills don't get any easier. Amazing though that a few of the front guys had a very close encounter with a leopard up on Hertebeesvlakte on Saturday. Byron was one of those and said it was awesome! Weather worked out OK, hot Friday but rained most of the night, Saturday was cool and overcast but luckily the mud was not bad, yesterday was another scorcher. 7hrs Fri, 8:17 Sat and 6:40 Sunday, pretty much wrecked today (gonna be a long day in the office!).
  2. Geez you tchjops! I am away from the Hub some few hours and I am slandered ...... (thanks Bob, JB et al)! Allow me to set the record straight, I myself have never opened any of the said MTB fork apparatuses! A N Other hubber unnamed for now (Dirt rider) kindly donated me the said faulty item. He were the one who attempted the service. And no it is not rigid at this time but none of the 'setting' twirly knobs have any effect on the 'performance', but it seems that they never worked from the start so he may indeed also be innocent of all charges that may in fact be brought ...... BTW - I am posting from my cellphone in Sabie so am unable to embellish this post with the required smileys en goeters sorry.
  3. Sorry mate (trying my best to sound genuine now ....) will however without doubt post pics in the evening so you can see what you're missing!!
  4. That must happen quite often Spot on mate but hey we're all in tha car on the way to Sabie, gonna be 3 days of MTB bliss!
  5. Shoooe DR, nearly thought you were gonna tell the oke to get one of those monstrous 160 travel forks you're on these days .......

Ek word nie gesponsor nie...[/quote'] Lyk my ek is dan 'over the top' want jy kan dan nog training MTB, Racing HT MTB en Racing FS MTB daarby sit ........
  7. That sharp strike to the left ear from my wife every now and then brings a bit of reality to my cycling obsession .........
  8. I was thinking just the bearing type inside the external BB's if that makes sense. I have 'serviced' 1 set and I guess the next time I will have to replace them! Was a bit doff at the time and didn't take note of the type when I had them out .......
  9. Dunno Zoo, will let you know in the morning

  14. As already stated this matter has been debated ad nauseam on the hub and most agreed that those people (adults) more than likely won't change their minds about helmets and probably have as also stated 1$ heads. Were it children then it fell on us cyclist to educate them and whomever allowed them out without a helmet ..... Whether you take the person on or not would be guided by whether you were sure it may not happen to be the legendary 'oubee' who's legend seems to have grown to Chuck/Schwarzenegger/Vern proportions ..... in fact if there is no bar tape keep away seemingly!
