  1. Hey Looking around on the net but cant seem to find a decent site to check prices and the different brands. Currently I have some Shimano disk brakes system, some code under the LX model I think, but would like to know what you guy think is good value for money with relative low maintanince and great hydraulic disk brakes.
  2. The spinning classes I know off use HR - but the again its a more private studio thing not some gym with loads of PPL. No use to train strength- anaerobic , most spinning ppl want to loose weight and lean - thus HR is important to train in the burning zone - thus aerobic training is required.
  3. depends on how fast your riding either on road or MTB. Logic can only tell you that speed on a road bike is higher, thus crashing and hitting the tar can be very bad. while MBT you fall more often but softer - but obviously you can crash into a tree on single track going 30km/h or more, that would not be fun. I would say from my perspective - being a OK - good Mtber and Roadie - that if you crash on the road your out, while MTB your more likely to end up with cuts and bruses.
  4. When you "break" a brake it probably would scream. If it screams when you brake' date=' then the advice above is probably good. [/quote'] Sorry for the bad spelling - yeah - a "break" scream . I will write out BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE
  5. holy roller - you just taking the piss tonight with shimano or you actually helping ?
  6. don't have disc cleaner now - other household stuff ?
  7. so do you think just a cloth and water will do - of should I actually use some form of spirits - alcohol of something ? what else can I use ?
  8. HUH ? This will stuff up the pads - No oil near the pads.
  9. Hey My front disk is screaming when I break. What can be the problem ? The pads are still new and I cant think of any other reason why it would scream.. Confused.. ASTANA2009-04-10 16:06:28
  10. SORRY for the stupid POST - just needed to make sure
  11. So I'm right -- calculated according to you casette ? 9 rings of sprockets on the casette... ? Must be that
  12. either 8 , 9 , 10 spd -- or thats the options at least. ASTANA2009-04-08 07:56:30
  13. Hey Confused again. How do I know what speed my MTB is ? New XT groupo - is it calculated according to the amount of rings on you casset ? Road is 10spd I know that - but cant remember now. Plz help - need to fill in some form for insurance. Think the mtb is 9spd, for some reason - 9 back 3front - 27speed ???? ---- WTF ? ASTANA2009-04-08 07:55:58
  14. Hutchinson - Top speed also makes a really nice tire - been through 2 pairs and lasted a very long time!! Agree that Gators are really good
  15. Hey' date=' you doing the trans ? We've got a team going, me and 2 friends, aiming for a decent time looking to do better this year than last year (was with a different friend though). [/quote'] Yip! My sis and I are doing it this year! Can?t wait! Are you still friends? Decent time?15hours? No, just ment, It was another friend, this time 2 other mates. Did just over15 last year - aiming a lot less this year. "Identified" all the wasted time. Good luck with your race, or training for now
  16. This is promoting the brand - who is this ? Nice tats dude
  17. Hey, you doing the trans ? We've got a team going, me and 2 friends, aiming for a decent time looking to do better this year than last year (was with a different friend though).
  18. Guess this guy / girl will be really lucky. Would like to have it for myself but this is a "nominate someone" game and not a "selfish pick me" scenario. Would like to nominate someone, but this has to be a up in cumming star, not just a random local fun rider, so don't know any hub names..... For this product to be advertised, the rider must preform and develop with the will to make it in the business, not just play around weekend by weekend. A team sponsor will also work, let say a Double Century team aiming for a good time, or a Tranbaviaans team aiming for a good time. Good luck to the winner...
  19. I've got one on my MTB - I like It. Might be a bit hard for some but for me its fine. If you've been riding for some time, then you should be fine. looks real good by the way!
  20. Buy the taxc roller. Like the big barrel one better than those small barrel ones. Like the noise they make - keeps you going. Train 30 - 45min. Mostly interval. 2min flat out and rest then repeat until you cant no more. stay above 40km/h -- Love the Rollers - but riding outside is more fun. unfortunately CT weather is not that good in winter
  21. Next they'll add some PlayStation buttons on your bar ends so you can play games while cycling.... Retards More useful to have a paintball gun that shoots taxi's at random if they come close to you - or disable their engine with some electric field or some sh*t gizmo

  24. cool man, thanx for the time. Guess it will all be ok again and i can go back to Training. Had to sit on the rollers with my road bike last night after I couldn't fix it myself. Hopefully back out tonight after work Cheers man
  25. Cool man - wil either use Flandria or Masons in Stellenbosch - because my brother is taking my bike in, I'm at work. Sounds hectic for a new bike. Will let the shop I bought from know and figure out what to do. Just crazy that where I'm form, where I live and where i work is all different towns
