  1. a site like justin.tv - how can I save this live streaming I'm watching ? Watching the Giro now but how how how ??? Legend stage though http://www.justin.tv/kdchampions ASTANA2009-05-27 08:23:34
  2. Would go for VW polo. Best of every aspect. Good looking, very nice driving, biggish for a hatch, you get a NEW car, safty wise good, you can add a bike on the roof or the back. Golf better option, but would not go 2nd hand on these cars, PPL tend to really USE these little fast cars. So stuffing the engine/transmission in the proses
  3. This bike rack might be cooler for a MTB wheel, but dont want to put my carbon wheel or even road wheel under that pressure of the arm to pull it onto the roof Any more thoughts on the Outride - where the front wheel si removed and the bike is clamped in with the front skewer.. Side frame may not be made to withstand the side forces onto the frame... any thoughts ??
  4. Why ? Want to built it up. So yeah - got it from a friend for cheaper You ride Bianchi - so don't compare
  5. Yeah was thinking to keep the cabling clean and simple and stick with black - but other options can be white and red - but that can be too much bling very fast. Was thinking - red bartape - red scewers - with the bit of red on the easton rims and the Prologo Cool team saddle with the red, white and black. Not sure what tires to use. The Continental 4000 got a lot of red and would look cool, or Huchitson Top speeds with the red side lines. Either way, don't want too much red, so need to chose between tires and bartape. Anyone got a idea to recreate this look on the PC, to have a idea how it will look ?
  6. What would you do with a White frame - road ? Was thinking easton wheels , Red bartape, Prologo seat (red and black). red pedals - speedplays ?? Any pics some of you can add? I know one can always go for the full out white - but that's just unpractical
  7. PVR - lucky bastard!! Crap to be on the start of the carreer in times like these - wish I could afford. O there is a bike on you couch - Nice bike man, with those colors you need to fly
  8. SHOTGUN the one on the left
  9. My Poll is going like the DA elections in the EC. thanx for my loyal supporters !
  10. This happened after more than a year and a half riding. so stabilizing muscles is not the issue I think at this point. Would just want to know about the float issue. On a MTB there is more play/movement but on road you can be more fixed into the pedal.
  11. Would you shoose Crankbrothers Eggbeater or Look Quartz ? Heart the eggbeters break easier when hitting rocks. Here in WC we have some rocky parts! Been riding with XT pedals now - is the any differnce between them and the Look's - on pics they look almost like the same kind of setup. is it only float that differ ?
  12. Hey Ronelle. This is a wierd scenario but found that this might be the case. Like running, with pronation and underpronation , this can have a effect on cycling. All depends on the ability of your legs to adapt or not. I find that my feet are slightly in a different position when standing. Becuase you are moving the whole frame under you, this is not quite the same as sitting and pedaling. So if you set your fixed cleats - for example Shimano SPD's - then you set them to your natural foot position, mostly straight when seated. But if you set this to tight then you might experiance problems when you sprint or climb (standing on the pedals). So with more float - your feet can go anyway they want - without the problem of being restricted to X amount of play/float ?? Right ?? Thats just one thing that can effect this ITB/side knee pain. What further can help this on is: - I put most of my weight on the outside of my feet when standing/running. So in cycling with normal insloles - with the upstroke the feet wil be natural, but on the downstroke it first will be in its natural position - in my case more pressure on the outside of the foot. On the 6oClock position where the most power hits the bottom of the downstroke, this presure can cause the arch or the foot to colapse a bit (like its designed to do when running) and by doing this rolling the foot to put more presure on the inside of the foot (big toe side) This all resulting in a rotaion of my left knee - from the outside/normal position to the inside/closer to the top tube. and repeting wit every upstroke and downstroke.
  13. I'm asking. More float means more movement, less float the opposite
  14. Poll is rocking Looks like SA election! Pain killers wont work - just stuff it up more. Not muscle its tendons and nerves thats hurting Thanx anyway. Poll is GREAT SUCCESS - I like
  15. Float is the term used when you can move you foot a bit on the pedal (horisontal) while clipped in on you pedals with the cleats. Some brands offer more float and some more a fixed position. This allows you to get a more natural foot position while pedaling. Some peoples legs like the idea others want a more fixed correct setup.
  16. Hey Just want to hear your thoughts on this. Been reading a lot. Want to switch to Speedplay Zero's on Road - for more float and maby eggbeaters on MTB or Look Quarts. Know cleat setup should be 100%, but for me there is a different foot position when I stand up and when I sit down - slightly, but that puts strain on my ITB / side of the knee - resulting in pain later on and after the ride. Q-Rings

Can you get Q rings for Sram Red ? How much for a set ?
  19. Spoke to them om the other 2 - Freeride and Rroride. How does this new one work then - "clamp your wheel" ? Like over the tire itself ?
  20. Its a Carbon Road bike. The MTB is alu with discs. The Free ride can accommodate disk brakes. No I don't have to readjust the brakes every time I remove the front wheel. Been doing for a while now, put one bike in the car and the other on the old holdfast towbar rack. I believe the free ride will be a bit lower and the forces are on your front fork and rear wheel, where as the proride, the force is on your downtube and wheels. I'm just concerned that the forces of bumps etc will go into your carbon fork and have a effect on the frame integrety in some way (I know this is a bit far fetched, but a R40K + ride... ja want to get this right the first time), for now my baby is traveling inside with me, but its unpractical, no space for passangers and no space for luggage. The Issue with the PRo ride is that the clamp needs to be tightened onto the downtube and guess this can cause some dammage if done incorrectly or can just dammage. The alu frame is fine - think you put much more force on a MTB when you ride downhill, so guess this wount do anything to it.
  21. Than for the Info. Well most protour team cars use the one where you mount the fork onto the holder with the skewer. Some use the full bike one, but that's only in case of emergency - when the race leader break something on his bike, like TT's etc. I like the one above more, cause its sits lower on the roof, dont mind the extra wheel in the car. Any other comments ?
  22. ? What is the best option then ? This one above or the ProRide ? (Where the complete bike is mounted - with the arm on the downtube)
  23. Want to buy a new bike rack for a Tazz... any ideas ? Don't really like the clip on back racks, and the euro way style is to big for my car. makes the tazz too heavy on the back and lift the front a bit with 2 bikes - the leaver action haha. Was thinking roof mount - this will influence petrol consumption but the bikes is on the top an away from danger - except garages and trees! must be more wake up. Will this rack influence the integrity of your frame when its mounted on the fork? The reason I don't want the ProRide one is that the bike is too high when both wheels are on. This looks like a better option ? ASTANA2009-05-26 07:59:55
  24. nice couch!
