Don't you think its a different story when your sponsored . Would love to hear from some of the pros what their dream bike must be ? Surely some of them don't like their bikes very much. For me I wouldn't be to happy to ride on a Barloworld Bianci those bikes are just Ugly - and does not match the team kit at all. Surely guys in F1 also want to ride a different brand - lets say you ride honda, but would love to ride Ferrari or merc - you get the point. Obree - Do you really find a difference in recovery from L-glu ? I could not find that it definitely helped, one improve on training routines and some weeks recover faster naturally and sometimes I just wonder if this is not all a mental thing. I was quite into gym a few years back and I also found this to be true for protein as well. Would you have gained as much without the extra's of how can one compare ?

Yeah if the club wants you to wear there stuff, then they have the option to only give kit to these riders. If the cub / shop can throw in some motivation for members/riders to use there kit in races, then this will help. Its the Sponsor/clubs responsibility to check on this. Lets say a pro team decided to race with a home made kit or some other kit - there first people that should be upset should be the Team management in our case the Club / sponsor. Thus organizers can rater "organize" more races and upgrade that standard of the races, than to police such a nonsense issue like team kit

What do you guys think about this bike ? Frame wise - stiffness and comfort etc. Very nice looking bike and price not too bad for a 09 bike. I know this is not a "pro tour" bike but it sure looks Eurostyle!!

53/39 not very big ? Most new top end bikes come with these standard these days, so was just wondering. Most races are undulating, and once in a while there is a climb (longer than 3km). I really like training on hills though, so what would be the best setup at the back ? Do you change cassettes for races with hills etc or do you have another set of wheels for these ?

After using a compact crank set for a while now, I am looking at changing to normal/ bigger chain rings. Uses 50/36 front, back 12-25, but this only gave me a advantage in climbs. With all the flattish / rolling hill races in WC I need something that gives more speed. What is considered a good option 52/39 or 52/39 ? any thing else ?

Love the look etc. Thing is the bike I want to buy comes with The mavic R-sys , so what to do, go the extra mile and swop / sell / exchange the Rsys for the SLX or stick with these ? Yep, So far so good, Think they only paid enough to postpone the final cutoff date. So far everything is good and the minimum amount was paid to the account. lets wait and see what happens, but I will not believe it if Contador gets f&cked again! Hope for the best, and we might just see the best tour in years!! (LA, Contador, Sastre, you name them...)
