  1. Awesome stuff
  2. I always preferred it on the right but the last bike and my current one have it on the left. just used to it being on the left now
  3. Sterkfontein Dam http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r9/dreamz_shared/photo.jpg
  4. stopped at the lbs this morning. caliper is threaded and not the frame. caliper is back on the bike, but they still don't have an explanation to how it happened and if it will or wont happen again.
  5. Sorry, Incorrect term used on my part. There was thread but it wore away enough for the bolts to fall off.
  6. Fuji Tahoe 1.0
  7. dropped the bike off this morning. There's no thread in the frame to hold the bolts! They said that they have never seen that before and will make a plan. I hope that means i'm getting a new frame as the bike is only around 3months old.
  8. I discovered the hard way that the bolts which hold my rear caliper to the frame have fallen off. I braked, lever went all the way to the handle bar and the bike didn't stop I've never had this issue with my old bike. about 80km ago the lbs adjusted the brakes as the sqeak was driving me crazy and since the bike was brand new, I got them to fix it. Did they not tighten the bolts properly or is this a common problem? If they didn't tighten properly, do I go back and ask them for new bolts or do I buy new bolts, tighten them properly and bleed? (Pads are stuck together) Brakes are tektro auriga pro
  9. buy a new bike. Will be cheaper
  10. Awesome post! Thanks, I learned something new
  11. I've been riding the Fuji for 2months now and love it. The only think i've changed was the seat and thats coz I removed the gobi out my old bike when I sold it.
  12. blue steel anti chafe cream
  13. In jhb anything from 2.5K to 8.5K. That is the range of quotes I got
  14. I still have a Cateye Mity 2
  15. WOW! If I were the owner, I would have told you to F-off. but well done Solomons and glad you sorted
  16. entered the 20K
  17. I'd say a combination of MTN Bike park and Northern farm. Bike park for technical skills and Farm for endurance
  18. It is and I could but my balls are not big enough to try that yet.
  19. Agree. I'm not the fittest person! The difference between my "old" and new bike is around 2kg's and it's made a big difference to my riding. I'm faster and enjoy riding very much more than I did with the old bike. The other thing the 2kg's has helped with, is carrying the bike down and up a flight of stairs.
  20. yup, that was annoying. The 40K should have started before the 20K
  21. 230Km, 4 toll roads ( missed the N4 turn off), 1 speeding fine to ride 20km. Was is worth it? I'm not sure about the ride but it was a nice day out. Well organised and the beers after were great. Guess i'll try the 40K at Trailseeker 3
  22. yup, about 5 times with no luck. Discs still catches a bit when I spin the wheel done that, but when I press the brake lever after spinning the wheel, the pads seem to go back to the original position.
  23. After pushing the pistons in, the first time I press the lever it depresses half way. When I release and press again, it's rock hard and catches on the top. you only have to pull the lever 10 - 15% for it to be fully depressed, so i'm sure but i'm also sure after I press it the first time they come back up. But thanks, Will try fiddle around a bit more.
  24. not sure what you mean by pop out? There was no fluid leakage. The pads were not totally stuck together (visable gap inbetween), the disc still fitted inbetween but catching on both sides.
