  1. It's their replacement model. They don't fix, they replace. so it's R900 for a new battery or as was in my case R900 for a busted lcd and very scratched watch. In my case I scored, In your case, it feels like a rip off. Get there early, they get very busy and the queue doesn't move.
  2. lol He's got some skill!
  3. I use a 405 for both. Works well but if I had to buy a new one, I would go for the 610
  4. Tried at @ 2oceans in 2010. Was cramping alot and wasnt sure I would finish. Got sprayed with the stuff @ Kirstenbosch, cramps went away instantly and I managed to put in a few fast km's before they returned. It works and works very well.
  5. Having tried, cramp block, salt, slowmag and some other pills which I can't recall the names of, the bio k recommended stretching which didn't work either. They used to hand out these chinese sprays at running races. 1 in a white bottle, another in a red bottle. Yu yu ban I think the name was. That stuff is the only think that worked for my cramping. Spray it on the muscles that are cramping and you good for another 10-20km. The spray is called - Yunnan Balyao
  6. Does anyone know where I can find the Results??
  7. Having only done my 1st 25K MTB race this weekend, I was thinking of trying out the 20K on my MTB without slicks. Good idea or bad idea?
  8. I did the "20K". My first MTB race and I really enjoyed it. The route description was very misleading. I assumed this to be very easy and by the looks of other people doing the 20K they did too. The problem with this is that when we hit the first uphill with loose rocks, everyone in front jumped off their bikes and pushed on both sides of the jeep track. Same with the downhill. Makes it a bit difficult to ride past these people. The downhill winding bends towards the 20K mark were the best part for me. The climb back up was also enjoyable. I got just short of 25K's on my gps. Was the route long or did we take a wrong turn? If it was the route, then it was a bargain. Paid for 20kms and get almost 25kms Looking forward to the next one
  9. Anyone know what the cost of the temp csa license is?
  10. 5 - 3 front, 2 back on Northern Farm. I now have tire liners and slimed tubes. so far so good.
  11. Used it for a while. I thought it works
  12. I switched from running to biking because I thought spending R1700 twice a year on shoes was too much and biking would be cheaper. In 4 months I've spent =/- 10K. Biking is not cheap.
  13. haha. If I were in the UK I would bid for this bike. Would even go up to 50quid!
  14. If your budget is 2.5K, then you should check out the Nomad 70.
  15. Thanks, Gonna try get out there this weekend.
  16. Sounds nice. Is the entrance to the Nature Reserve opposite the "Pig Farm/Auction place" ?
  17. Blue Steel. Works very well.
  18. yes, you will make it easily. I had a PB of 2.31 for a 21K, was running 25-30km a week and attempted it. Finished in 4hours. I was on for a 3.30 finish until I passed Cedar Square. Thats where I hit the wall and hobbled home. Awesome race, Awesome support along the road. Ran out of water at a couple of points but i'm sure they fixed that by now.
