  4. Not safe. Cardiologist will tell you to keep it down if revving your heart is dangerous. It is basically where you can take your heart to. Apparently your heart can beat up to 300bpm comfortably (lab / out of body kinda test)
  5. Two fallacies above 1. 220-age as formula. This is only a broad generalization (lies, damn lies & statistics). It is accurate (on average) to +/- 15 BPM. so for a 40 year old. it is 220-40 +/- 15, so not 180. but 165 to 195 and these are still just generalizations of what they found in their statistical analysis. There are numerous other formulas to use rendering different results.... Only truth is an actual test. But condition (physical & emotional etc) plays a role in what can be attained during the test. 2. 100% of max. MAX is max. if you find heart higher than what max is, one of two things are at play a. measuring equipment is faulty b. number used as max is incorrect.
  6. No! no! That will not be random. that will be targeting them....
  7. Are you related to Jonathan perhaps?
  8. I think you just blew it Wayne. Hubbers don't ride bicycles
  9. Technically in the greater legal framework what you say is true. However like a lot of other things on the hub, that statement you made is. And don't mention your kids in your arguments again like in December please. This time I'll report YOU!
  10. LOL Can I forward the mails one by one, and then you do it?
  11. You referring to me? Yeah that thread is gone now... Sucks... like going back in time. I do have mails of all the threads I was subscribed to though. All in GMail
  12. I have a black triathlon singlet, or alternatively I can use my running club vest. MTB shoes are black though. Maybe some white aero booties? Compressions socks... yeah those I have. Nogals CompressSports (their biggest size apparently) So maybe I just shave my knees then i I wear compression socks? Arm warmers. I have white ones with the national flag motive at the ends... Cannot wait How do the motorcyclists say? ATGATT Think I'll look really, really fast. B bunch here I come
  13. Technically he hasn't done anything wrong on the hub.... But we DO know what he did in a parallel universe hub. So he be banned here (I hope)!
  14. Question: As a wannabe runner, pretend roadie, posing MTB rider, do I shave my legs, or leave the 7mm stubble. Will it be fine if I ride with booties and 7mm leg stubble? Also, will shaving make me faster so I can start in B on the next event?
  15. No hassles at all. Ant+ agent uploads my runs without hiccup every day (2x so far this week)

  23. what phone do you have? Android/BB/Apple/Nokia? Most of these other devices will require either a separate SIM card, or a cellphone to which these can connect via bluetooth etc Google Maps with Latitude might be the cheapest, easiest to set up. Other people (those you allowed) can track you via their cell phones, a pc etc
  24. I (our whole family) use Google Latitude (www.google.com/latitude) for this kind of thing. It is not exact (depends whether GPS/mapping is running, but it gives a fair enough idea. It works across networks, devices (Android/BB/Apple - I think), continents. EDIT: It runs all the time in Google Maps (Latitude is a layer), so not only for training
  25. fart / burb ... never thought about wind direction predictions! Try Old Man Biking's Weather plugin for SportTracks Version 3 (It does have a trial option)
