  1. This Thead Is Useless Without Figures (Unless your wife is reading, in which case, carry on)
  2. Wait, what's this? Common sense on the hub? Hole smokes now I've seen everything! I'm sure 20 slipped to the dominee will make sure he slips that one in there "Do you, Mark, take blah blah" lol Dankie Tim, dit was 'n befokte race
  3. That's purdy.
  4. Fixed. Mega kudos to you for taking your boy out - I'd live to do that with my boys sometime, but fear that they are not fit enough for even a 10k yet Congrats on third place as well!
  5. No, but I came accross a laatie and his dad about 3 km's from the finish, EVERYone that passed them cheered the little oke on.
  6. Great race, loved it. The walking wasn't fun, but was expected. Climbs were lekker Quite a few people came off on that descent - and I also saw no medic posted there (which is my only rant) Bring on the next one! (BTW, results are on spectrumsport site_)
  7. I've put over 8000km's on my Axis A60 so far, just finished the Nissan Race this morning - it's a good bike for the price I paid. I think they overpriced them a bit this year though - I paid R4000 last year and the same model is now R5200 (I believe, could be mistaken)
  8. I've given one I received at a race last year to my maid ... she still hasn't tried it either I've got a cupboard full of them.
  9. I've seen a big increase in (white) commuters in Pretoria over the last year. Normally, after a big increase like this month, you see a couple of extra ou's on bikes for a week or two, then it tapers down. I think we'll see more and more 'professional' commuters in the coming months.
  10. We should twitter bomb them ... spam their facebook pages as well.
  11. Wow that went downhill quick ... no shirt, no buff, no spike? Ag forken sis man.
  12. Sooo .... what was in it?
  13. Has anyone picked up their bags yet? What's in it? (Except for the obligatory maggi stew mix - has anyone actually ever tried one of those?)
  14. Just stand next to the road, waiting for them, with a clearly visibly paintball gun. Don;t use it, just smile and wave. Otherwise take a video / photo etc and lay a charge at the copshop.
  15. Sounds about right, I'm at 52 and in E. Chat to the registration okes when you collect numbers and have it sorted!
  16. Last race - J batch. This one - E batch. Me gusta!
  17. No. Prepare for forced bear stops! And if you see a green Axis A60, pedal as fast as you can, cause I'm loading my Camelbak with tequila just for you!
  18. It's actually pretty tasty, and the kids REALLY enjoy making them. The oil keeps it from being too dry, as you don;t have then normal butter etc on a sarmie effect.
  19. Also made some "Pad Pizza" last week with the kiddos: Take un unsliced white bread and cut a hole in it, a la Bunny chow style Break the bread into small chunks and mix with a bag of Simba chips of your favourite flavor and a can of tuna in oil (with the oil) as well as some mayo and tomato sauce. Scoop all of this back into the hollow: Place it back into the bag, and put it into at least three more shopping bags. Then drive over it, preferably several times: Eat it next to the road with your hands
  20. Had scotsman bream and some slinger for dinner on Saturday - also fresh, but on the fire with garlic, rosemary and sundried tomato, also did some prawns on the barbie with lemon and garlic butter ... yum.
  21. Those bantams also bend / break the control forks - the arm that moves the clucth plate around. Often misdaignosed - have yours checked (by a new mackie please)
  22. For the time, effort and money spent building one yourself, and spending time figuring out ow to 'make it better' you're probably better of buying one. I think.
  23. (But I hear what you're saying)
  24. Now: From 1295.07 ZAR plus R99 shipping, plus wahtever duties, plus vat etc. Yah, can't see myself paying that. When i bought mine, I was contemplating making one myself. Hindsight, I should have taken the couple of days and done that
  25. I've got one of those Arc stands. It's really useful, could do with a (little) polishing / better finishing. The rubber pads in the jaws have come off mine, and the edges of the jaws should be rounded IMNSHO - they've scratched my bike (due to me not being careful) otherwise a good local alternative
