  1. Couple of things make me 'believe' that you saw a leopard: 1) Feral dogs are rarely large, it's just a matter of diet. The bigger you are, the more you need to eat, and dogs are horrid survivalists if not in packs 2) Paw prints like a large dogs = paw prints like a leopard. 3) Most dogs, including successful feral scavengers, are moeroffa inquisitive. You would have seen it again if it was a dog, they can't help but come have second look-see Can you describe it's gait? Can you perhaps recall if you saw prints close together or not?

  12. I've used both the R1500 jobbies and the R50 jobbies - tell you one thing, both moers proper. The R50 jobbie lasted two beatings, but they were ROYAL beatings. It's not going to fail you if you use it proper .... and unless weight is an issue for you ... oh wait.

  17. He should have (at least) third party insurance - try not to be a hard-ass and ask him to help you out - poor commuter can't afford a car etcetera. He may end up paying more for his insurance after a claim so try and see it from his pov as well ... I wouldn't like to try and lay blame as to who was wrong / right, but I can tell you that I absolutely HATE it when dipshits stop like that (to let other cars through the traffic - it's always a mess waiting to happen)
  18. K lemme check my diary - but HMT knows many more trails than me
  19. Oi I'm gonna have to sit this one out Missus troubles, I'm sure the married okes can relate.
  20. Mmmm ok pressed for time ... lemme see. I'll ride through to FG / Silver Fakes somewhere. Maybe we should hit the river tracks, then Rosemary Hill / Boschkop rather? That would make it quite a bit shorter. Then we organize a whole-day expedition through Culinan, Roodeplaat etc - maybe do 100 - 120km then?
  21. Start time depends on starting point lol. I ride from Queenswood, so if it's from there we can leave at 06:00. What do you guys want to hit? Pienaars singetrack Avondzon Pienaars Poort Rayton Cullinan Kameelfontein Roodeplaat ???
  22. 31st sounds good ... I dunno, how far / long do you want to go? 4 hours? Some of those roads can be murder, 20km/h avg might be a stretch sometimes (depends on sand and corrugations and rain) HelpMyTrap you're welcome to join, but I'm loading bricks in your camelbak and tying a tractor tire to your bike ... that'll even it out a little lol
