  1. That rings a bell, will check it out.
  2. Does anybody know where I can get about 10 medals in the Joburg area. It's my son's birthday party at logwoods tomorrow and it would be cool to hand out some medals and action photo's.
  3. This thread is still alive on CyclingForums - plenty of info http://www.cyclingforums.com/t391098.html
  4. Kinda like another brand name product advertised on the website? stir-stir...
  5. Cadence is generally self-selected i.e. what feels comfortable. Some people ride idt's at a lower cadence than on the road, and some at a higher cadence. From a specificity perspective, you wouldn't want your cadence on the indoor trainer to be radically different to your normal cadence on the road. Speed makes no difference.
  6. Perc are bringing out a Cycling specific range of nutrition products and supplements. I have been using their meal replacement, as well as their carbohydrate drinks and energy gels - good results. They are one of the few companies that have a energy drink with a small amount of protein in it. I take one bottle of that, and one bottle of pure carbohydrate and it works well for me. Cadence Prologue works well as a pre-race drink - used it before the Zoo Lake criterium and I felt okay with the very intense start!
  7. What can I say, I try hard to hide the fact
  8. Someone out there has done extensions to Golden Cheetah to calculate the IF/TSS/CTL/ATL values etc - but is waiting for approval from CyclingPeaks because these terms are trademarked. Will be interesting to see if he get's approval to merge his mods into the main development trunk.
  9. powermeters are overrated......this only became the "thing" recently. before powermeters people rode faster.....if your training program is proper one and you do not need all this high tech shyte. Thanks for your incredible piece of insight. I'll throw mine away when I get home this evening.
  10. Exactly what Peter (Bikemax) said on his SMS Like the red eyes on the avatar
  11. CTL was 90 and TSB -20 - it was a hard week of training

  16. Was at Cyclelab and could only find up to 16mm, so I thought maybe the PT cones are a different size.
  17. Okay all you mechanics out there, I need two 17mm wrenches to work with my PowerTap hub - the locknuts are 17mm but the wrench has to be quite narrow to get between the spacers. Normal spanners are too wide - so, where is the best place to get these?
  18. By Jove I think you have it! BTW' date=' thats exactly the reason I drive a BMW! (oops, is this gonna start a whole new row? )[/quote'] The assumption in this case being that a BMW is a nice car
  19. Eurika!! I have the answer to the question as to why you should ride a 6.8km carbon bike with a top end groupset and deep section carbon wheels!! I have solved the complete equation describing the motion of a bicycle and I now know why!! Because it is damn nice to ride a nice bike!!
