  1. I have been using Biogen products for nearly 2 years now and have had absolutely no problems with them whatsoever. They sponsor our team and for me, there are no problems with them. Have raced a number of multi-day stage races including the Epic, which is when nutrition plays a major role, and absolutely no hassles.
  2. Thanks Boys and Girls, this is the best thread I've had on the hub in ages. Best I get back to paying the bills!
  3. COOL so now you going to do the study I take it?? Nope' date=' can't do two at once.[/quote'] DG, there are about 50 million responses to this post, please stop, you are making it too easy!

  6. hey' date=' not my fault if you have no understanding of the word Scientific Research. There are sooooooooo much more to this than what you think. Very touchy touchy...why is it bugging you that I want to make sure everything is in place for this study? Don't patronise me. [/quote'] I think the information you are looking for was provided on page 2 of this thread:
  7. Only requirement is that subjects are consenting adults - after that' date=' anything goes!! I'm sure they will give you a 'safe' word before the test starts [/quote'] Yes. Consenting is an Ethics requirement. So the consent forms have been ethics approved then? whoooooosh...... and I even used smileys!!
  8. why? that is the basic regulations when it comes to research...they are simply not allowed to do this without Ethics approval...cos they are using data from participants..and it will be unethical. simple. sh*t then Im completely unethical with the 19 MX riders I train....... I'm going straight to jail, won't even pass Begin!

  10. Anybody considering doing this, just check what method is used to take core body temperature during the test - you might be in for a rude surprise Although from what I've heard about the overall demographics of Cape Town, that might be an added bonus!!
  11. Personally, I'd be very surprised if a scam artist knew enough about Dr. Noakes research into fatigue and it's causes to be able to put together an invitation like this!

  13. Nope, nothing new yet
  14. I'm busy testing the new iAero, but as an Ant+ Head Unit to powertap/srm powermeters. So far no problems.
  15. Probably are' date='..............let us know which one it is, cos the one I am watching,........ the "Le tour" is a complete yawner.! [/quote'] - Awesome individual timetrial by Cancellara - Team Time Trial very technical with plenty crashes - Leaders jersey decided by hundredths of a second - 23 year old Cavendish showing incredible performance and maturity. - Spinters team causes a split on a flat stage in the wind - Contador and Armstrong trading blows for team leadership - Breakaway stage wins. - Green, polka, and yellow all changing hands and hotly contested. Only the first week gone. I dunno, I'm really enjoying it so far.
  16. I think I must be watching a different race
  17. I crashed with my Force Groupset 2 years ago in a race, still riding same STI's on my training bike, two years solid, no problems. I ride Red on my race bike - love it.
  18. Hi All, If anyone out there knows Johann, please ask him to contact me urgently. He has my cell number. Alternatively he can PM me here on the hub - he is a hubber (2quick)
  19. If you read the article, you'll see at the end of the second paragraph they say they are using smart recording. Smart recording uses GPS points to reduce the number of samples that it records - e.g. a straight road, the gps will just record the start and end point, and the time taken between the two. The problem is that power samples get dropped, so you have no idea whether the rider was coasting or pedaling. Unbelievable error to make by a team sponsored by Garmin and Powertap! On their twitter feed they say: The smart recording, as most of you know, isn't so smart for Power data. Our mistake, won't happen again. Changed them ALL last night!
  20. you mean 65kg's -- i dont think that there is more than 5 guys in the TDF weighing more than 70kg's File says he weighs 74.8kg, so maths is good. 5.06w/kg FTP is a tad low. FTP may be incorrectly stated in the file to protect the innocent.
  21. you'll never know your true max power output unless you "almost die" on the trainer either... Where did I say testing was easy?
  22. Most of the HR data is missing from the file, so can't draw any conclusions from that.
