  1. I don't know the cost this year, I couldn't afford it last year, which is a huge pity.. so I just very much look forward to there one day event, The way I talk of the one day event to plenty people, I should get sponsored for the U Stage race Just saying
  2. Also got lashed on the arms from those branches and bush... I thought that steep hike a bike was part of the track as I followed others doing the great trek.. But i definitely felt like I had done a dinkom MTB ride... Finished with a big smile on my dial, not sure if it was because I was still alive after some of those loose downhill sections... Great vibe at the end.. See you next year
  3. Down for the 60km .. sounds scary but lets give it a go.. :-)
  4. See you next week
  5. There are some fabulous prizes there, Fingers crossed that I can land one More chance of me landing a price than there is a jump
  6. Look where it Says Prologue on the left and Stage 1, it says winner underneath
  7. Wishing you a great one this time round
  8. I always go on a friday about 3, and seriously, not one issue in 13years.. I'm hoping it goes smooooth tomorrow so I can leave with a positive feeling
  9. I'm a wee bit concerned, Doing 3,000 numbers for a Stellenbosch or PPA tour is one thing, Doing 35,000 numbers is a new fish to fry... Hoping it gets smoothed out before tomorrow, The system they had in place for years wasn't broken, so why change it. It all used to go so well
  10. I haven't see the board for this event, but often they are about 180mm X 100mm there or there about
  11. Thanks so much for this, would you go back and front with this Cape Cobra..? Much appreciated :-)
  12. I see Bike Addict shop has a special on Maxxis Ardent 2.4 and Maxxis Ikon skin wall exo 2.2 Could you please advise on these, as we all know that the conditions down here in the Cape is dry dry and powdery. will they put up with the long days..?? Thanks
  13. The tracks are also very dry and powdery.. so maybe take it easy on your first time out and build your confidence as you go... The trails will still make you feel awesome
  14. That was a waste of my data
  15. 2C or not 2C that is the question ;-) 6.59 start I will start looking at what I hope for as a finish time after the 99er. Good luck to all on what you want to achieve
  16. I hope you mend up quickly and glad your in a position to be able to write a great letter to the guys that we often fly past. Get better soon Tomi
  17. I did the 60km with my W2W partner... we was the guys in the Amsterdam kits :-) What a fabulous day out, The trail was amazing, there was a great vibe with other riders, When the weather gods are not on your side, its that vibe that makes the time go by. The Guys that stood out there at the water points getting smashed by the rain and wind, you are my hero's of the day... Very happy with our time as my partner hasn't been riding long, so that could have turned into a *** long day. instead I'm left still thinking how awesome that ride was :-)
  18. Morning guys... This is my 3rd time out there, first time on the 63km (61.2km and 1535 on Polar ) So glad i did as I got to ride more of that treasure of a trail.. One word.. AWESOMENESS..!!! The trail, views, water tables, Vibe, Registration, Goodie Bag, T-Shirt... Great training ride for the W2W. Thanks to all involved and sponsors AWESOMENESS ..!!!

  20. Thats my entry sorted
  21. Its like Christmas :-) 2 more sleeps Any idea what the weather is doing..? it could end up being a long day in the saddle :-) I'm doing the 63km for the first time, and taking 2 friends along with me See you out there, if its not to hot I will be in a black Amsterdam shirt Safe and enjoyable ride to all
  22. The minute they open registration, I enter... Best race on the calendar. The trails are amazing, views are amazing .. I have done the 37 twice, its a tough little 37. The first time i rode it, i said I'm going back next year to do the 63, i just wanted more of what i just had :-) but knee problems was an issue so i down graded to 37 again.. This year I'm doing 63 and can't wait
  23. I couldn't agree more, This was a great ride, great weather, But the Piiket-bo-berg is truly awesome
  24. Seen the poor guys in the trenches, but good to see they had support until emergency rescue got there. I was wondering how it happened on such a flat but fast section. Heal up guys and i look forward to the race report.
