  3. What a Fantastic read, shows that with hard work and dedication, one can achieve. if not a win, but your own personal goals. Love your story and journey. Well done. Sounds like the win couldn't have gone to a nicer guy.

  8. Hay mate, There is a cycle path that can take you to Blouberg area... Blue peter and back from Century city area is +- 30km, then head towards CBD with cycle path also, take your time through town, into waterfront area then onto Campsbay and on to Houtbay, throw in Chappies and back, the Km's are yours to decide.

  19. I have seen these guys getting rid of there year end stock.... give them a call and see what is on offer.... like half price bikes... http://www.thesportsbasement.co.za/
  20. It would cost more than the bike to upgrade brakes, new hubs to take disc's, the build of them....then the disc brakes.... your looking at R1500 and up to start getting good brakes . good idea to get fit, but then you will see you have wasted money, because you will be selling to get better....
  21. I agree with above comment, I wouldn't buy any.... If its to cruise to work and back, far enough.... but if I want to start enjoying the beautie of cycling, hitting trails, I would save a few more Randela's , something that would be a little more reliable and good stopping power, something you can enjoy for a few years to come....
  22. I just checked on Jetline action photos, I thought I recognised the bibs they wear at events... So there you will find, although they say they are still sorting photos out...... It shouldn't take to long given the lack of cyclist out there ... The highlight for me was the T-Shirt ....
  23. If not mistaken, if you take Gu without the right amount of water recommended, can cause dehydration ..which can lead to cramping.... I use Hammer (Heed for around 3 hour rides and Perpetuam for longer rides) with some jub jubs and health bar for something more solid...
  24. I'm looking forward to the mud, dry, river crossing, rocks, what ever comes my way... But as Shebeen said" just want to now how the rains from hell had an impact....
