  1. Its like Christmas :-) 2 more sleeps Any idea what the weather is doing..? it could end up being a long day in the saddle :-) I'm doing the 63km for the first time, and taking 2 friends along with me See you out there, if its not to hot I will be in a black Amsterdam shirt Safe and enjoyable ride to all
  2. The minute they open registration, I enter... Best race on the calendar. The trails are amazing, views are amazing .. I have done the 37 twice, its a tough little 37. The first time i rode it, i said I'm going back next year to do the 63, i just wanted more of what i just had :-) but knee problems was an issue so i down graded to 37 again.. This year I'm doing 63 and can't wait
  3. I couldn't agree more, This was a great ride, great weather, But the Piiket-bo-berg is truly awesome
  4. Seen the poor guys in the trenches, but good to see they had support until emergency rescue got there. I was wondering how it happened on such a flat but fast section. Heal up guys and i look forward to the race report.
  5. Nice Ewald, Always taking amazing images
  6. Thanks for this Cippo, And what about wheel, does this fall under components.?
  7. This is the best event on the calendar IMO ..
  8. Thanks for this Karmen
  9. I got told last night at Killarney track, theres a section of the road that has a crazy amount of pot holes...? anyone got news on this. Schweet
  10. Mamil, Its on the PPA website...
  11. What a man, loving the skills Richard... I'm sure you must have turned a few heads in the Traffic
  12. Pity I'M in JHB the same weekend.... was looking forward to the return, we could of had a few scoops together... Next time Lynnie_the_Snail :-) Have a schweeeeeeeeet ride :-)
  13. i have just put Ground Control 2.3 on the front for a race here in Cape town... some gravel, some mud, and cut through sand like a knife... Very happy... i put the Ground Control 2.1 on the back.. Loved it...
  14. Maybe you can win a bike, now you know how to do a selfie
  15. The Bike shop at Hemel en Aarde is where they sell permits to a great network of trails, very helpful bunch of guys .... That is for sure the place to start... Then there is all the new trails at Wilderkrains Estate... Stunning stuff out that side..
  16. Fab Pics again Ewald...
  17. lerouc, I recall all the complaints (Plenty) about that here on the hub..i felt for the guys that didn't get reimbursed. I clearly was left with a better taste in my mouth when i was. I'm sure the organisers had to draw a line somewhere, but to not to even acknowledge it just pisses guys off. But there are talking great trails in stellies and I'm all for second chances... if we didn't do this we could possibly loose a potentially great series, a series where one can challenge your mates and so on No i don't work for them, but i might be looking for a job Have great day all
  18. Karl, Ive riden Skyfall a few times, and some of the most stunning parts of Stellies. The Origin of Trails (2 day event) and the one coming up Liberty Winelands Encounter (3 day event) stunning riding
  19. I'm more along the lines of, Helderberg was a Great cock up, but they tried there best to make up for it with free entrance to the next event. By the time they got to Grabouw, there was a great improvement. As you hope with most company's, They listen to your gripes, and set about making more of an enjoyable experience in 2016, if your intrested in a different event i fully understand, but for me, I'm going to see if they have gone forward because it has massive potential to be a great series
  20. Thanks Steven I hope i win some new tread :-) To Shred Good luck you guys
  21. Fantastic First post, welcome Danielle,
  22. Chris always does great shots for the TMBC .. he really captures the true essence... I ended up going through to this event by myself (Billy No Mates :-) after my brother pulled out, I was thinking to myself on the Friday night, what is the point of spending another R300 on petrol, on top of my entry, This is becoming an expensive ride, on top of having to get up at 4.45.... BEST MOVE EVER was getting out of bed on that Saturday. What an awesome ride, I did the 37km to save some legs for Sunday in Elgin. Next year has to be the longer route, I would rather spend more time on these trails than worry about the next day. I just wish the land owners and event organisers could try get us at least one more event on the calendar... It was flipping amazing. Thanks to all concerned, I want to hug you all
  23. Hi Rickus, I entered a few days ago and am sure looking forward to hitting your/these trails... My question would be in regard to the camping, if camping or staying in the cottages, can you pay a day rate and hit the trails...? Is the campsite open already..? The Future is looking brit

    Polar V800

I have had the same problem, when I press start, to find the GPS signal and heart rate before I start exercise, there is no heart rate, but it finds the GPS, when I start the exercise it then shows my heart rate, but in faint white(almost grey) I spoke to the guys at Polar when in Knysna but I didn't have strap with me at the time. But from what I got told, it sounds like the problem is the Bluetooth, either transmitter or receiver. They say it has to go into Polar to be checked out.... Love my V800 but what a pain in the ass
