  1. anyone have experience with CB Smarty's?
  2. My First exposure to Tokai was only a few months ago so cant comment on what it was like back in the day, but was stoked to see how friendly people were, those that don't greet are just focused on where there front wheel is going and managing their breathing! Needless to saw i have been back countless times to enjoy the trails and experience in general! Now to make a plan to do more riding during week days
  3. will there be facilities to shower after the event so we can enjoy the festival afterwards?
  4. this does look a bit suspect and 'one' of the addresses is close to you! the pics are are also not from the seller. http://dragonsza.blogspot.com/2010/10/2011-giant-anthem-x-29er-in-stores-now.html good deal if its legit though!
  5. Best of Luck! sounds Awesome!
  6. *** one dude!! keeping eyes open
  7. hey heedo. Are you looking to hit some single track or just stay on the jeep track? Be prepared to climb for a few KM's then pick a route running along the contours and enjoy the view!
  8. I think what puts guys off is the variances in skill level and fitness, no one likes to be a handbrake! To be honest it is my prob too. being winter doesn't help either. The fact is the more that join the more diverse the level of MTBers will be to ride with. We have frikken bikes and a beautiful mountain to play on!!!
  9. Almost time to buy new discounted 2012 bikes
  10. also quite keen on evenings and perhaps the odd morning.
  11. Study and work in between!! the combination of both will teach you great life lessons and not just an education, and you will have something to fall back on.
  12. Hi Kandui Are there any other takers? I would be keen to join on occasion however I may also struggle to keep up.
  13. what is the quality of these like?
  14. Must be a hell of a guy!!
  15. I have had my Jeep compass for about 8 months now and really love it! I sold my X trail and have never looked back! the way i see it, if you getting a good price the resale wont hurt you as much. I have a very good jeep contact in CT that does my services etc cheaper than i could get with my X trail.
  16. The rider in the first Vid has some serious gas!
  17. Apologies if this has already been posted and I missed it, but worth a watch! Im still not sure which Video I enjoyed more, will have to watch them a few more times to decide! Think the folks in the Cape are too chilled to react like these fellas! http://www.bikerumor.com/2012/04/23/trail-etiquette-mtn-biker-on-mtn-biker-violence/ Enjoy!
  18. that's Genius!!
  19. thanks Gents, i can vouch for the climbing ability of a 29er and should go this route as i really enjoy my current bike. But some of the "pre loved" 26 duelies on offer are swaying me to get a better spec'ed, higher end bike for my little budget.
  20. what about the Scott spark Team? http://www.scott-sports.com/us/en/products/221701006/bike-spark-29-team-s/
  21. so that being said it would be wise to go the same route! its hard to ignore some of the bikes on offer!!
  22. Hi Guys, I am pretty new to the world of mountain biking and have been hooked in and now fear for my marriage!! I am currently riding a Scott scale 29er and really enjoy it but looking to upgrade to dual suspension as a hard tail doesn't really suit my riding.(or so i have convinced myself). XC and Single track...The question is 26er or 29er? on my budget it will be a lot easier to get a well spec'ed secondhand or even new 26er than an equally well spec'ed 29er. What would you seasoned campaigners be able to advise me on?
  23. outside option, Scott Scale Comp 29er
  24. you found a bike yet? am considering the same bike. does anyone have any opinion on it?
