  1. Hi Guys, instead of starting a new thread on the topic, i just want to ask some advice. I have started doing a few longer more challenging rides and find my knee's are really taking a beating. Could this be because they are not use to the distance and will take some getting used to or should be looking a bit deeper into it? i get pain toward the inside of the knee cap mainly. for days after riding its still very tender but does not hurt when walking but find it difficult to hold my weight when crouching.
  2. anyone keen to ride today? weather is great and so far Thursday looks crappy.
  3. I will send you a map from my last ride, change it to satellite view and it should give you a good indication of entry points. As JGR mentioned, there is a technical climb into deer park from the school but if you get onto the mountain at deer Park drive you wont have have any technical climbs.
  4. not Technical at all, a few small climbs and flat sections to start with followed by a long climb to the top.
  5. anyone heading out this eve?
  6. Hey Oceana, The joys of living in CT are the hills, your best remedy.... don't give up and get fit, and they will become your friends! have a look on www.tablemountainbikers.co.za for the QR code for the trails and routes around Table mountain. Fitness will make the biggest impact on the uphills and the loose/rocky stuff, the lower your gear the more you will be prone to spin out and fail to apply adequate traction to the back wheel. confidence also plays a big part but this can only be found by biting the bullet and giving it a go, fall and get back up! everyone has been there, im not far off! if you can try join the Thursday ride from Kloof st, details in the TBL Mountain group ride section of the forum. good luck!
  7. agreed Rvanz, the manual (supplied and online is poor) the you tube tutorials can be somewhat helpful.

  9. have a slight onset of a cold, but with weather like this i may find myself going for a shorter, slower ride anyway.

  11. still no joy, it only shows my history as being available to upload onto the device, and under planned trips it shows "no Data". although in my collection i can view my planned trips. this is all in "manage my device" tab. am i missing a step to upload from "my Collection" to my device?
