  1. If you are f@#king up your own thread, are you still a troll?
  2. Its great, the same people get to ride it every year, or just sell off their entries for cash money (sarcasm)
  3. Pre-Plan A is have thorn protector things, or snakeskins Plan A is avoid sharp stuff Plan C is rip out the punctured tube and replace with a new one. Popping plugs or cut sidewalls are not so much of an issue
  4. so 2 bombs 1 tube 1 pump 1 mini bottle of stans Sound like you may as well just take 2 bombs 1 tube 1 pump some tube patches
  5. You sir, are a champion!
  6. Where online can I watch?
  7. To all the smartasses who feel they dont need to carry any more than they do, dont expect somebody who does to stop and help you.
  8. And how long does one typically stay on a waiting list?
  9. Simple question, what does the entry cost?
  10. Bottom line = who cares a toss about their opinion; try it and see if it works for you.
  11. The CamelBak Lobo was designed for cycling. It rocks. Light, small and never in the way
  12. CamelBaks always look cool. They are cool just by their very nature.
  13. Im looking for a decent stem for my MTB (easy enough); but it needs to be 70mm with a 12 degree rise. Im not fussy, I promise.
  14. couple of years back I had a seariaaaas crash attempting a big double jump and ended up with a cracked hip and fractured spine. If I wasnt wearing my camelbak it would have been much worse.
  15. Saddle bag with bombs, small sharp knife, puncture patches, CamelBak with liquids, pump, tyre levers, cable ties, multitool with chain breaker, phone, cash. This is my default for all rides, long or short. Dont forget to save 100g folks, go to the loo before you ride.
  16. A few skill drills for me on Sunday before the out ride.
  17. Its actually for my trainer wheel, so any will do
  18. So if it has such a stimulating effect, does it raise your heart rate, and if so, how is that useful if its just going to max out your heart rate in a few mins and give you a heart attack... Or doesnt it raise the heart rate? I did a moderate ride after a red bull once and my HR was about 15bpm above where it should have been the whole ride.
  19. Well its R750 winter special, and Im going there so no travel costs added. He charges AA rates at R2.95 / km for travel.
  20. Start with it in the center setting. Ride a bit and feel if the rear is "kicking up" (rebound is too fast), or if you are not getting enough traction over the bumps, or if you feel like the shock is not responding [not recovering in time] (rebound too slow). Remember: More rebound damping = slower rebound Less rebound damping = faster rebound
  21. I found the same when I moved to full susser. I think its because when you push down the shock takes the pressure you build up. I would think that it means it would spring you back up when it de-compresses, but it doesnt seem like it. Im no physicist though.
  22. I will do, Im going to BodyBikeFit. I was going to skip the Spez method, but I see mention of "institute for sport medicine" (so Im assuming he knows more than just BG), and he speaks of interpreting data which I think is something that a lot of people miss. Lets see how it goes, its got to be an improvement on my current setup anyway.
  23. Agreed. I think the best option is to pick one, have the fit done and see how it goes. If it doesnt work for you then go for another fit with a different method. Its not the cheapest way, but may be the best, because everybody is different and responds differently to different fittings.
