  1. Sure, I'll comment. I forked out the cash for one having read comments here on the hub, and it's one of my fav pieces of kit. I love being able to map my rides, and with different software extract cool data - it has added a new dimension to my riding and training. I have only one regret... That I couldn't afford the 800; it would be complete overkill for me, but I dig it big time.
  2. How do those trails compare to their sisters at the Vlei?
  3. I only had time for route 2 today, but I noticed that the sign at the bottom of interval hill showed that route 3 was to go up it. Was that part of the change you saw?
  4. Mine seems fine now
  5. Has anybody called them about it? I just tweeted them, will look out for a response.
  6. We talk plenty about Froome, but what about Wiggins winning? I mean, how would you feel knowing that you were the winner because somebody else was held back? I would feel like a complete d@os. A fraud.
  7. Sounds like a sensible approach. I just need to finalize my bike fit first
  8. Ah cr@p, I forgot about this and have made other plans for the 21st *facepalm* Will have to arrange another skills day. What do you charge for one on one?
  9. I hear you. Saturday, I'll try be there by 9:10 as I will be warming up for 20 mins on my trainer.... :-) Black n white Ghost dualie, and a Ghost branded pant.
  10. Im in the slow and unfit group. Ave of about 14k/h for me
  11. That's pro cycling for you.....
  12. 35km had me beat there (long stretches of uphill on the 2nd half), I need to stick to 35km for s few more rides before I step up. I really don't want to risk over doing it now.
  13. Thanks a bunch I'll see if I can find the spot. Mmmmmm, let me check with government 45 is also about 10km more than I can squeeze out of these legs.
  14. I had a look at my route, and there is a part I missed (top left of map). I wonder when they were marked, Im sure I didnt miss any signs...
  15. Interesting, I did route 3 about 3 weeks ago and measured 35km. My mapped route looks the same too, will compare on a bigger screen later.
  16. Grumpy much?
  17. Wow, now there's a non-committal response. We all know that, but that wasn't the question, and as a spectator I want to see the best man win, not just do as he is told.
  18. I think it's looking like it, and frankly I think it's bloody poor and bad for the sport.
  19. As I said in an earlier post, its for pro's and rich people. Im not much of a cyclist, but if I was super rich I would have a moerse expensive bike, I guarantee it.
  20. Of course it makes a difference, but is it worth the ton of extra money for the average rider? Hhmmmmm
  21. Will try and get to the skills workshop to check it out, with a view to riding future events.
  22. Trying to save small amounts of weight should be left to the pro's and to the rich. For the average person I recommend they focus on comfort, components, affordability etc; hassling over 2kg's.... its lame, pedal harder.
  23. On another post somewhere I saw somebody comment about 160mm of travel was nicer for some of the drop off's... Is the route technical with drop off's etc that are not so much novice friendly?
  24. Thats not going to do my fantasy league team any good.
  25. Doesnt this quote from the rules make pretty much all tight TT suits illegal? Picky mofo's "it is forbidden to wear items designed to influence the performances of a rider such as reducing air resistance"
