Is there even any XCM races on the calendar? Not really interested in entire series but just individual races to pick and choose from...

At this moment i would def advise going with what you have been training on and find comfort on. No need to panic buy. If both ticks that box, I personally would go with the lighter option.

Both previous editions I did had moderate temps, hoping that trend continues in a few weeks time. Look on the positive at least saturday past helped with heat acclimatising depending how long you were out there...

Nah i dont think w2w affected seeding. I checked pursuit africa website, it was a link i found on trailseeker site. Shows all my results and even some road events. I was seeded in D. Last rode a trailseeker in wellington 2 years back and finished top30 in A. I tried querying before event but had no response via their WhatsApp, email and didn't answer their landline. Nevertheless, a 25min que on race morning and by the time i got reseeded A batch and woman had all left. Started in B and fun was had. Trails were good and everything else. WP had what it needed when i stopped to refuel. Hope that last WP lasted as that section must've gotten crazy hot later on... Hopefully be at next one later in the year.

Curious if there has there been any accidents by these circles? cant see how hard it must be to navigate them as is it not the fastest section of road (ive been to the last few events since its been going through there and this is the least of the safety concerns)... also if you made it that point sucking wheel, you deserve to be there. no positions gained for working up front... #BeLekker

Bought a generic strap off Temu after my gramin strap starting to fall apart and eventually started hurting me. Havent had a days issue since starting to use the generic strap with original garmin transmitter... Been about 5months and costed less than R200
