Him and Jonas were joking around... Unfortunately today's stage was an anticlimax. Obviously don't know how bad the mud was for that call to be made but the call was made. Rather safe than sorry like they say especially after that night ride shambles. Mixed emotions from the first week with alot more expected. Yes one shouldn't compare but LeTour's first week was absolutely brutal + fire works compared. Anyway, still exciting 2 weeks left.

Our local constantia trail which the other day was smooth and gravel friendly as anything, is now a few seasons unmaintained and washed out rutted and rocky AF. I cringe seeing a few brave soles still attempt on gravel bikes literally hanging onto bars going snails pace. Man it looks unpleasant.

Got dropped so hard last the roll to the finish was painful... Along with the organised chaos in the start I promised myself I won't be back (it's moersa trek from home). Still better than @Meezo who's double puncture within 2kms of the start forced him to nap for 4hrs in the car and wait for me to finish 🫠 Fortunately I've gotten over that disaster race but based on current form i still won't be back. Lol 🤣
