  1. Looks like you got some good pallets there!
  2. True enough - I was allowing for a single exercise session. But you can still do 2h30 on a spining bike if there aren't any classes (not that I'd really want to submit myself to such unbridled torture) As for the dreadmill - 20 min limits are mostly during peak times. If there's no one there or waiting, carry on. And yes - I purposefully call it a dreadmill. Apt description, I think... Also the rowing machine and other things you can use.
  3. 1200 points, btw. And you know what? If you did 2h30 in the gym at 80% you would also get 1200 points. Nothing about rewarding "couch sitting gym swipers" - if you want points as per the table, get an HR monitor. Otherwise, don't moan about it.
  4. From what I recall from when I was shopping around, shipping was in the region of EUR300 or so. Still comes in at a very good price with all the added stuff.
  5. Absolutely!!!! Track is an awesome one for spectating, and there could have been loads more! I was there with my lightie in his backpack carry thing and on my shoulders. Renay Groustra was in a class of his own in the sub vets, and Mark Moir in the vets. Ladies race was also good, but not enough ladies to make it a close one. Nick seemed to do well, as did Donovan, but he just couldn't hang on to Daryn Stow in the last couple of laps. Couple of funny crashes and ALMOST crashes (bucking and front wheel landings on the jumps and drops) but overall a good race from what I could see. Elite men had a clear winner from the get go (can't recall the name - in red kit riding a spaz epic) but not many people got the woop section right. Need to pre-jump it in order to go in with any sort of speed, and prevent the back wheel from lifting too much thanks to the log on the entry.
  6. In the order notes, or followed up with an email including the order number etc etc.
  7. LOL. For me, this week, it was. Was flat on my back for 2 days, watching series. Thought I'd have been better by yesterday and at least manage a 90 minute ride, but nope. Still sick. Small price to pay though. I'll just have to trump up a payment for the watch this month. Woe is me... My wife loves it, and it's a very small price to pay.
  8. Hey Jorrie, The Bloemendal race circuit is BRILLIANT. There are jumps, small drops and doubles (rollable gap jumps, effectively) interspersed with a couple of rock gardens and plenty berms. EVERYTHING has an A / B / C line, and it's all very new and very well built. There is only one "Big" jump, and you can't miss it. It's at the top end of the course, and it's out of a berm where you need to carry your speed and STILL pedal in order to carry enough speed for the jump. Gap is about a bike length, but it's still intimidating. There's a LEKKER little rock garden as the B line, which you can just hang back and blast through with not a worry in the world if you have enough speed. The only 2 places I'd consider warning you about are: 1st drop section (raised) - the biggest one on the right has a raised rock just before the crest, that if you don't hit properly will try and buck you. They are ALL rollable though, so there's no issue if you want to ride it a few times just to get used to it. 2nd section - Right at the bottom there's a section of woops (doubles & jumps) that are in a walled hollow. It's not that section itself, rather the exit. The woops are about 8-10m wide a the widest section, but the exit narrows to 1.5-2m wide and is over a wooden structure. So you MUST hold the centre line going out of the woop section, otherwise you will not make the exit. Otherwise - all the other jumps are fun and doable. No angry wheel ending jumps unless you do something HORRIBLY wrong. I wouldn't rate it as technical as Coetzenburg, tbh. But I'm going to be there in the later sections of the day to watch all and sundry. Oh - if you're not sure of a section, don't worry. As I said - ALL technical sections have A/B/C lines.
  9. Just started binging on Banshee. Haven't seen it before (how!?) And so far so good
  10. Great to know that it's a 12 rolling week system. And re the rest of the post - yes. Exactly right. And that's the point - to ensure that everyone is on a n equal footing. Not everyone will be able to meet 1,200 points from the get-go, but if you're doing it now then it stands to reason that your limit should be slightly above that.
  11. AFAIK the watch will pick up a bluetooth HR signal from a strap. So yes. If you use the apple workouts app itself.
  12. Still sick. Not upset. Not patronising at all. We just know that there are issues of all sorts
  13. Apart from the reason above, I really don't know. Maybe theyre in communication with apple themselves and they've assured Vit that the problem is receiving their attention. I know from other threads on Apple forums (looked at yesterday) that they are talking to users and trying to get to the bottom of it. Insofar as disco support via VAR goes they're kinda damned either way. If a solution isn't found soon, it'll need some very creative thinking. Maybe it'll be a mass recall, maybe a forced firmware upgrade, maybe a swap for the updated version which should be launched soon. That'll be on the Apple side as it may not be fixable. I'm sure I read somewhere that they changed suppliers for the optical HR itself. That may be the cause of it...
