    Strongly thinking of putting my hardtail to use as a commuter, when I can. Singlespeed as well, but not fixie. No way in hell. Not in CT traffic... Should be nice.

    Yes It was originally called Red Phoenix on the signs as well as far as I remember. Went up there a few weeks ago and was surprized to see the change. The Plumber remains the same though!

    Feet slipping off when you run out of talent or when you're hike-a-biking.

    And all the others - LEARNT on flats. That's the thing. If you learn on flats, the skills are transferable. That is not in question. If you start on cleats, you WILL learn bad technique.

    Don't. Not as a flats shoe. Lugs are too big to be of any use on flats. To expand - don't use shoes that are designed to be used as SPD shoes, as shoes to be used with flat pedals. it just won't work.

    yeah, there are different prices depending on the shop you go through... Heard up to R 2,900 in some places. I paid R 2,400 last year.
