  1. I do, senor! Bummed that I'm missing the Cascades shuttle. Ribs are still giving me shaite after my off 3 weeks ago.
  2. A battle of wits scares me not a whit, should you be wondering.
  3. yeah, he is. Hence my statement above. I'd get my arse handed to me if it came down to a race.
  4. nah. Fitness still plays a HUGE role. Plus, I have a *thing* with gaps and drops. Slowly trying to cure it. Maybe on the new Red line at Jonkers I'll have a chance, but yeah naaah. His car / cricket analogy works with the 2 of us, that's for sure! LOL
  5. No, seriously, I want to know your reasoning, besides "Santa Cruz Nomad OMG Jizzz" Besides - my relentlessness was initially as a result of your total ignorance of how exchange rate fluctuations affect pricing, then of your vehicular comparison... Now it's genuine interest as to why you made that comparison. And your basis for saying it, other than drinking the SC kool-aid.
  6. I'll lose. Nico's a better rider than I am by quite a way. Plus, I'm kinda fat and unfit atm. Which means I run out of steam very quickly...
  7. STOP TALKING STAR WARS LEGO!!!!!!!!! CAN'T TAKE IT MUCH LONGER!!!! Saw this fully built in the Toy Kingdom window. Bigger than I thought it'd be, and I wants it. I also wants this: I have this at the moment. Lekker build, and reasonably sized too... Oh, feckit. I want everything here and a whole lot more! http://www.lego.com/en-us/starwars/products
  8. Makes a note to visit them when I'm up there in a few weeks...
  9. Honestly interested now. How are the 2 playing different sports? Seems you're buying into the SC hype now... As for the dollar price, no relevance here in our market. Dragons only brings in framesets on the SC stuff, owing to most SC owners / buyers wanting a custom build. And at ~45k for the frame alone, there's no way you'll get anywhere close to the cost of that full bike pictured there. So no - still 15-20k more than the giant. gx gruppo - 7k Pike - 10k (if you're VERY lucky) Wheels - 6k (Flow ex / Hope) cockpit - 2k tyres - 1.5k saddle - 1k dropper - 6k (2,500 if giant) brakes - 3k (xt) That's a build kit cost of R 36,500, bringing you to 80k.
  10. Except their sizing is whack. Was sized just as new world geo was getting a foothold. Large reign is the same as their XL. It's a very good comparison though.
  11. Bahahahahahahaha! Jeepers. You're really grumpy today, aren't you? Mahindra? Really? More accurately would be audi quattro and lancia delta integrale
  12. Bigger, more capable and slacker. Proper comparison (as said before) would be the trance and bronson or reign and nomad. In easy speak: bronson is a heavy hitting trail bike but is more comfortable on manicured trails. Reign is a mini dh bike that can punch manicured trail in the face, but is more comfortable on fast technical big hitting stuff.
  13. If you make use of the benefit, absolutely. If you've got a life policy with them, it'll reduce your premiums quite substantially, and the flight and some shopping benefits are good. Mainly the Life premium savings that make it worthwhile though. It's a totally different fitness test, so you can't use the Vitality one. You'll have to do the Momentum one, and I must admit I'm not that clued up on how to do that (we don't generally sell Momentum Life and / or multiply. They're generally more expensive than the rest of the market, and we are heavily invested in Vitality at the moment) Multiply DO have the Smart Shopper multiplier though... However - there's no reasoni why you can't use the same BP / Chol / HIV / Glucose test results for both Multiply and Vitality. They're not exclusive to Vitality - they're done through various labs and pharmacies, and you just send the proof off to Disco or Momentum Liberty - yeah. Tried that, didn't work. Flimsy at best, but their gym benefit is good. That's it though. They've modeled it as if Gym is everything. Momentum & Discovery have tied it to the Life policies, so there's a tangible long term benefit. But lately, Vitality is just innovating so fast. As for the joint ownership - that's a negative. Disco health USED to be managed by Momentum, in its infantcy. Then they went on their own, and FRB still had a stake in them. Not anymore. Not for a while now.
  14. It's his access door at home... Only 6 months old, if memory serves...
  15. On wrist, yes. Not sure of the pairing, but I don't think so... May just be a simple bluetooth pairing, in which case I am sure it can, and then you upload the exercise to your strava instead of your wife's...
  16. Shot, ANdrew. THe Disco Card terms are different to what I was told by my Disco rep, but it's actually better than what it was before.
  17. I'm frothing to get on Silvermine. 10km from home? A loop like that? Sjoe
  18. I'm nowhere near good enough for it. Bloody hell, I'm actually really slow when I'm tired & overthinking stuff - which is most of the time. But I can feel this bike pushing me for more. It's actually a lekker bike for progression of skills in a way, cos it just wants you to go faster and take a little bit more risk than you're used to, and it's got the safety net for when you DO stuff it up.
