You should be able to tell when you break down the frame. Bearings have the little numbers on the seals and you'll be able to check exactly what you need then...

It would have been a whole lot better without the pin-striping all over the place, but agreed. Though in that bracket, I'll go for something else. Fun, but practical. Something that I can chuck the bikes in the back of and go on a long ass roadtrip with my mates.

This is me on my size small Scott hardtail, with 150mm fork on the front. It was built up as a dirt-jump / play bike, but since the theft of my Reign X it's the only bike I have, so I'm making do... Single Speed 32/16 gearing and a saddle that only extends to approx 8 inches above the seat tube (hint - about 6 inches too low) so pedalling it is a beeeeyatch. This was at Coetzenburg this past weekend. Man, is that place FUN. But so much of climbing as well!

Well, it'll be about 6% easier than the 34t. 5.882% easier, actually, so not that much difference, but it'll *almost* be the same as putting a 45t on the back. New XT? Or did you go SRAM, in which case it's 10-42...

*in your opinion* In short, your taste is somewhat limited. You prefer classic lines, and understated design cues. It doesn't mean that the japs & americans can't make beautiful cars. They're just not beautiful TO YOU.
