  1. Indeed. IMO nothing beats the feeling of finally getting that rough section to be your b1tch. Just finding the flow on a section that has beaten you time and time again. Man and machine against nature. So rough you have to hold your dentures in...
  2. that's an oxymoron... baggy shorts by their design would be inherently non waterproof due to the openings at the legs...
  3. LOL. Yeah. I know it starts up top there, and I know there's an entry halfway down. I decided to test out the top section cos, well "how hard could it be?" Turns out - harder than me.
  4. DH0, as in the DH0 that goes down on the right on your way to Cobra? That's DH0 - finishes at the Road Gap... DH1 is from the Road Gap down to the next road crossing (the really flowy DH section, in the same area as Boulders) and then over the next road crossing, DH2 starts - which is the REALLY rocky one. Then DH3 is the one that shares the beginning with Vasbyt (big berm) and then splits off to the right... The top of DH0 is REALLY steep. Starts on the very top fire road on your way to Cobra...
  5. But you haven't lived until you've had a wine and beer fuelled dance-off followed by a SingStar sing-off with a bunch of good mates... EPIC fun.
  6. It's called Dance Dance Revolution. JEEEEES, get it right, will you!?
  7. Nope. He's abroad permanently now afaik. I think the UK. I've seen him comment with his usual one word responses from time to time. If you're looking for advice - Wyatt is the man to speak to, or William Keith if Williams bike shop in Somerset West CT.
  8. Jees, Vettie! That is NOT cool! Hope you at least manage to get some details out of her when / if she contacts you in the future. Bloody glad you're here and alive to tell the tale. And as MTBaaisiklist says... effing B***H!
  9. Then that intense is an amazing deal, dude. Seriously
  10. If your real gripe is the battery, rather just import / source a QUALITY battery / charger combo. The quality of those batteries with the DX lights isn't that great, and that is the major cost of a light setup. A quality battery will last you far longer than a sub standard battery / light combo. Having said that - a quality, protected and dipped battery will probably cost you about R 800 to R 1,000 from one of the hobby shops. But it IS worth it.
  11. that's pretty much exactly what Hairy meant. Asked height, next mention was frame size.
  12. Sorry I had to leave early. Was a good one
  13. Nope. Won't be there for the full day (3 hours or so) as it's my lightie's birthday party in the PM but I'll be there.
  14. good man. There are sections we all struggle with. For me, it's the climb! And the top section of DH0. Which is beyond my skillset at the moment.
  15. Then he should stay on the road But seriously - if you can only get to the top, and not use any of the single track down, then you know you need to build your skill levels on the ST - and you're heavily biased towards one spectrum of MTB - fitness. You need both fitness AND skill to be able to do this sport properly.
  16. Watching the super sport class now. Damn... visuals are fantastic this year. Love the view from the cluster into the riders eyes. ..
