  1. Told you you already have a buyer... He's MEGA keen.
  2. JAYSUS! That's mental. Awesomely mental!
  3. This... Depending on the package size, it will stop at the PO in your delivery addresses district, and you'll have to go there to collect it, and pay any fees (VAT etc) there...
  4. his point being that nobody has stock of the RF n/w chainrings in a 30. So his hand was forced.
  5. That's why I've kept my hardtail frame. Eventually (when I have the cash) I'm gonna set it up as a burly SS. 140mm fork, single speed.
  6. My knee would disagree. Anyway. I digress. I don't walk the uphills, but when I have pushed up a section of ST to get a gauge of any changes and scope out the lines, I've been huffing and puffing at the top. So yes, it is cross training. But yeah. 34 for me. 11-36 at the back, and for the riding I do, that's sufficient. I want to go 36 eventually, but will only do it when: 1: My 34 wears out 2: I've HTFU'd 3: I've lost a few There are certain climbs that I just can.not.do on my 34 / 36 combo, but then anyone would have a problem on those in any gear. They are that bad. I can trundle up most hills, grinding away. Well, not now, not with the knee as it is, but when it's healed for sure.
  7. But yes, agreed. Although some of those Epic riders are far from the strength (leg-wise) that you are, when running a 38. And by the end of that 2nd / 3rd / 4th etc day they're looking for every little bit of advantage they can get. Must say, that's why the Epic is still on my bucket list. Not because of the distance etc, but because I know I'll have to be mentally bulletproof to pull my ass along every. damn. day. And then, I'll welcome the 32 10-42 that my bike will be fitted with.
  8. Allow me to answer, J... Yes, there are. And we now have the budget to buy in more, better clay for the trails. They will eventually be lined top to bottom in clay, in order to minimise the damage that riders do to the trails. I knwo which berms you're speaking of - that last tight one and a few further up as well. Good news is, we're bringing the JoJo tank this weekend... And we're rebuilding My Roots. That trail has taken a literal pounding lately!!!
  9. Yep. That is indeed the way it works. Because you earned the status, they give it to you. It wouldn't be worthwhile if you started from Blue at the beginning of each year, complete with the level of "rewards" you get as a Blue member. It would have too many repercussions from a Life Cover & benefit payment perspective. Plus, you have sorta earned it as well. And they give you a full year to earn it again, with the full rewards of that status.
  10. Incorrect. As soon as you log the points, and get to the threshold, you are Gold / Silver etc. So if you hit Gold in January (not likely anymore, but in some cases it is possible) then you are a Gold status member. You don't have to wait until the end of the year before it becomes official. Your status carries over to the next year, where you have to get the same amount of points in order to maintain the gold / Silver / bronze status. If you just sit and do nothing, your status will revert to Blue at the beginning of the next calendar year. EG: Start in 2013 0 points (Blue) By End March: Gold (45,000 points) Status carries over to 2014 January: gold Status, 0 points No points allotted in 2014 (for illustration purposes) December: 0 points, therefore carry-over for 2015 is that of Blue - you did not maintain GOLD for the year. January 2015: Blue Status, 0 points.
  11. Lol. Slowly coming round there I see! Good man. Give it some more time before you do anything rash like sell the bike!
  12. used to be 15,000 base points max, and 15,000 max bonus fitness points. That's changing from next year as well...
  13. 225 by Economist's count. Emirates bought 150, Qatar 50 and Etihad 25
  14. Must say, I like the look of the new FUNN goodies. That gets my vote.
  15. I see they got the wheels right this time round, Nige!!!
  16. It'll be his 4th? time next year. Time for another bike to experience it!
