  1. come off it... Seriously!? It's not technical at ALL. Seriously.
  2. Hey Rouxtjie, the shifters should work together, I think. I know of some DH guys that run 105 / ultegra RD's and use the normal 10sp shifter for that ultra sleek setup. AFAIK the actuation ratio is the same across road & mtb. I was wrong...
  3. SO. International Trade sent the wrong item. So this: Has been replaced with this: http://www.coloradocyclist.com/img/product/full/k/ksskkmjq.jpg Yes, it was a little bit more $$. But only just. With the additional shipping and stuff factored in, it would have been R 300 more than the i950. And, it gets rid of the cabling "issue"
  4. What!? My dead granny could ride that section. Or have the guts to admit that it's above her skillset and walk it. I'd shudder to think what you make of the "boulders" trail in tokai, or even faerie garden, for that matter!
  5. Thanks Dave. I'm now more informed! Still a lot I don't know on tires.
  6. Lol. Awesome. Insert more cussing as well, I presume?
  7. Nah. I definitely had wire bead on my gt, and you can't really tubeless those suckas.
  8. For the front, get the trailstar compound. The difference in grip is noticeable.
  9. Rofl. Yes Mr Duane "enve will make me faster" Bosch
  10. If it says ust or LUST anywhere then it's the folding bead.
  11. Wire bead is just that. The bead has a wire in it and retains its round state when you transport it. Stays stiff. Folding bead tyre can be folded up and can be made tubeless.
  12. Are you serious!? Wire bead is the cheap one and I've bought there at that prove before but it wasn't the one you could tubeless. Folding bead you can tubeless. And if that's the ST 2.5 dual ply then that's a very very good price.
  13. The guy behind the Songo.info charity and who Burry and Christof used to ride under. Do loads for MTB development and underprivileged kids to get them into the sport
  14. It's stupid. Just need to bring them in from crc or bike discount or probikeshop
  15. Lol. Same. Those 2.35's on the sixer are like 2.2's on a 650.
  16. My fave bit so far - the new DH section in jonkers, followed by the "flow" trail als9 in Jonkers then DH1 in tokai closely followed by My Roots and dh3 in tokai.
  17. That's what they all say. That's what giant says with the trance, yet people slap 140/150mm forks on those all the time
