  1. Absolutely. And I'll take the below average seat, Dangle
  2. Epic is not an enduro event. It's a multi day stage race, also known as a multi day marathon event. Enduro events are more AM in the type of obstacles and routes they take, and there the 140mm trail / am bike rules. But yes, it is an endurance event...
  3. Yeah. Ibhave to say that something like the epic.would suit a niner. More endurance and marathon style riding than anything else.
  4. Oh dude, that looks KING! AWESOME frame bro. I give it the ticky-boo ticket of approval.
  5. Looks like bull, tbh Jaco - Nino Schurter was riding a scale...
  6. Yeah, but he'd been taking it all day, and he wasn't as fast as some of the others through there. I know his technical ability is great, but Nino's on the day was higher. Whether that was due to a bit of apprehensiveness from Burry, or just Nino believing in himself just that much more when it came to gunning through the section. Warner was right when he commented on Nino's seeming ease of making mincemeat of the Tree House, saying it looks as if he could go faster and faster. Just so happened that on the last lap, he went so much faster that he was able to open up the gap to such a large one. So yeah, Burry had the tech ability to do the Tree House, but Nino's tech ability (and confidence) on the day was just that much better.
  7. What deanbean said. Either take the bars back and get a replacement set, or get a new stem. They're 2 different size standards and are not to be interchanged.
  8. Nope. I think it was Nino's skill level that was simply superior, as well as Burry's apprehensiveness on the rock garden that helped Nino to pull a gap at the only section he could... There was nothing to separate them from each other, apart from that rock garden.
  9. Time to check compatibility wif my bike.... Hmmm. Nah. The rear doesn't have enough clearance. Oh well. 6er it shall remain. For now. As for the next one, who knows what will be right for me come upgrade time.
  10. Fixed. Stander was just as strong as Nino. Nino was better over the rocks.
  11. Ah. So u wanted to stay for the girls then...
  12. Lol dude, the women's elite race was in the morning...
  13. LOL! Nah, I think Nino is just THAT good through the tech sections. He did the same last year, at the same section. He's an extremely good rider.
  14. Damn, Nino really NAILED the Tree House... Seems he found everybody's line for next year. He just rockets through the rocky stuff. Well done to Burry though - he must be really chuffed to be back on the podium after last year's dreadful luck..
  15. maybe he was the one watching a different race. Pretty sure I didn't see a 26" bike all day. And Maja even saying that her "29 wheels" helped her through the tech stuff. Hmm... I think someone's had a bit too much to phuza
  16. nought, bro -you're wrong. 29" bikes pretty much all round, dude. And Maja was def on a 9er. Scott Spark 9er, to be exact. You need to go to the optometrist...
  17. ja, Batty just seems to lack the confidence in the technical stuff. I think she should have gapped it on the line she was used to, and just hung on for the rie as opposed to trying a line that she'd been avoiding all day... Oh well... a deserved win for Maja... Some good looking tech sections in there, and I'm glad to see the rock garden us still giving the troubles it was last year...
  18. ROFL! She's a 2002 GT DHI. Frame and shock alone weigh 5.5kg. Fork is a 2002 RS Boxxer, weighing in at about 5kg by itself. wheels: Alex DX32 & Mavic EX371. Minion & HR for tires... not a light bike!
