  1. Yeah, but hte CODE R's were introduced as an enrty-level addition to CODE's awesomeness, weren't they? Avid's ELIXIRs were the same through and through, apart from the C & R facilities, I'm sure. Internals were the same, if not maybe slightly different ito weight. Same reservoir, same pistons etc...
  2. SO are the 5's. Especially seeing as the only difference is the tool-free reach adjust!
  3. So, Cap - pinstriping / accent colours on the cranks. Yea or Nay?
  4. In all their glory... exposed for everyone to see... hoses and chains exposed...
  5. Spraygun, dude... And I don't talk. I act. Whilst talking. Double ent(ry)endres are my forte...
  6. Nope - 176. He was using the art of extrapolation to determine when Eccentric's next post would be. Either that, or how many pages would have been filled by utterly useless, but FANTASTIC material, by precisely 14h36 pm today.
  7. I chose paint specifically because of the durability of the finish. Protects the frame as well. And, you can get so many awesome colours now! As long as your clearcoat is the enamel and you have good surface prep & primer, you shouldn't have a problem with the chipping.
  8. Hey Divernick, using Rustoleum as well... white Stops Rust primer, metallic enamel (midnight black) for the frame & fork, satin black for the cranks, and the clear enamel clearcoat to finish...
  9. Yeah bro, as long as you do it in a good environment (no wind) and you have a good enough action (back & forth, just like with a gun) then it's cool. I also used one of those trigger-grips that you put on the top of the can. Simple single pivot design, that converts a can to a demi-spraygun and gets rid of the awkwardness of always having to depress that frikkin nozzle.
  10. GT Decal - 340 x 40 DHI Designation - 120 x 30 This one goes on the top tube, just behind the stem. EDIT - pic didn't load properly. Should show HUCK IT! in white Britannic Bold, 30mm * 30mm
  11. Photoshop... 1am mission. I was dead tired by the end. Oh - swingarm is now 75% stripped.
  12. Decals in for printing. Black on clear. Nice n simple.
  13. Damn, Nige! That track is STEEEEEEP! I'd be kakking myself new rings every 2 metres!
  14. Shot bro! Eina. Ja, electric planer was one of my better investments. Think it's a 2,000 W one. Router is a 1,350 W. That thing CHOWS wood! Dude - I'd be a fool to say no...
  15. Your mothers. Sorry, couldn't resist! It wouldn't make too much of a difference. What makes the difference is weight of the wheels, gearing (tooth count on F & R) and cadence.
  16. To do that, I've gotta do more spraying! AARGH! Mind you, there are some fingerprints on there courtesy of a female resident. Picked it up and said "where'd this come from?" Maybe some of the gun-metal grey? Or shall I do some pin-striping with my Humbrol enamels? Hmmmm...
  17. Orbital or belt? If you did that with an orbital - may the gods pity your long-departed soul... I finished it off with my belt sander, then an orbital. Didn't do anything other than that. No wax, sealant or varnish. It looks good just like it is, and we use coasters...
  18. because he appreciates a simple, sustainable design! Built it last year from reclaimed laminated pine support beams. Was helluva bleached when I got it, and I had to get rid of approx 3 to 4mm of wood before the pine came out. Couldn't have done it without my electric planer...
