  1. Coppi - you're forgetting the main point here... The "dibs" wasn't seen until the guy who phoned had concluded the deal. If you want something so badly, make sure you do everything in your power to get it. In your case - did you ask the guy to hold it for you? If not - it was a swak move, yes. But not a wholly unexpected one, in my opinion. If somebody has something I want and others may be interested in it, I ask them to keep it for me. The most heard answer to that request is "sure. Unless somebody else comes up with the cash" I accept that as part of the process of buying/selling articles, no matter where you go. Anybody who does not will be setting themselves up for disappointment.
  2. Tell me about it... I'm not salaried at all. But I'm passionate about what I do, and I look for opportunities all the time. Some may not work, some may. But I won't rest on my laurels for a "maybe" as "maybes" don't bring int he money...
  3. Like accepting dibs as a firm offer of interest, and you are "negotiating terms" while denying the confirmed buyer on the phone with cash in his hand.
  4. So many businesses also fail because people sit around waiting for promised funding when they should be campaigning all the time and not rely on one single lead...
  5. DH rig: Boobar - 780mm w 20mm rise Funn Full On stem - 40mm XC Rig: Stock Felt bar - 650mm w 20mm rise Felt 100mm stem w 10 deg rise Need to change this to a shorter stem.
  6. People already know I'm weird. Heck, I admit it often enough! I have 3 girls. My wife, my Felt XC machine (the svelte one) and my GT DHI (the dik cherrie that shows me a helluva good time, and who lets me ride her like seabiscuit) As for my wife though, she's not exactly your average 200poundbeauty.com material. And as for my taste - well let's just say I prefer to keep it under 70% of a century.
  7. Weight savings, and BlackBox motion control (enhanced compression / rebound settings) not worth it unless you're a race snake and are looking to save every single gram that you can.
  8. No, he didn't. The broadcast showed him throwing his arms up in the air, looking around a bit and then going down into the valley to collect the bike. And then he punched the ground on his way down, when he realised how far he had to go to get it back!
  9. RL/RLT is remote lockout version. RLT Ti is a remote lockout version with titanium bits & bobs. But the RL's floodgate is a tooled one (adjust with alen key) whereas the RLT & RLT Ti have a nobbin that you adjust by hand to tune the floodgate. I've got the RLT. I don't think it's worth trumping up the extra cash for the Ti version. And I've taken my remote lockout trigger off the bike. Haven't used it since I bought the fork a year ago. I'd go for the RLT though.
  10. My dad also used to do that. Later on, he'd take the rotor out of my mini's distributor cap. Now THAT p1ssed me off!
  11. Bwahahahahaha! Okay - you win this one! I'll go perve over bigbabes.com right now, if you don't mind.
  12. Ah. So the Felt XC machine, with seatpost down REEEEEAlly low would suit better?
  13. in attempting to provide a solution to the pre-eminent problem faced by the individual in question, the provider has instead submitted a conglomeration of mupheme which has in the inimitable fashion of drivvel and ninkimpoopery managed to further confuse the matter at hand, forcing the issue to be tabled within the confines of absolutely authoritarian mediatory environments.
  14. Please don't say they're wearing BIKINIS!
  15. Lemme know where the collection point can be, and I'll gladly donate a few spare parts.
  16. Seeing as you're up in the sandy place, consider a Maxxis Monorail (front) and Crossmark (rear) combo. SOmetimes they're on sale for hectically cheap. If you want to stretch it a bit, get a set of WTB Wolverines. Awesome tire for the majority of conditions.
  17. Sorry Mr LOOK, but the direct steering has NOTHING to do with the integrated stem. Stiffness, maybe (VERY debatable though) But the direct feel could be replicated by a standard stem of the same length, rise and so on. Response would be able to be replicated with a standard system with similar flex characteristics...
  18. Oh, Mayhem shall be there, for sure... Bring on the GT, methinks?
  19. Yeah. Can't wait. How's the bionic shoulder?
