  1. I echo PorS's sentiments here... It was actually funny at times. Cringingly funny, but funny nonetheless.
  2. Half that, bro. With you & leet, as well as a couple of others, we'd struggle to hit 20. There was a SERIOUS turnout yesterday, and then at the peak we prob only hit 10 or 12. Sad, really.
  3. Dude... My forearms are in a serious state of fatigue right now. Haven't had anything like this after a gym workout. Love it!
  4. Ha. Hahaha! Dude, seriously - it's cool. I will carry on raggin you and Cap about it though. Don't you think I'll let you forget THAT foot in mouth situation in a hurry! Kinda puts a different spin on that one ad that was on TV a while ago...
  5. Erm... I took a 3rd for the road... Was buzzing till 10 on that stuff. Slept like a baby though And yeah, I take those bumps quite quickly. It handles them better at speed.
  6. Dudes... TOday was awesome. Got a LOT of work done. Big up to the lot of us. And Cap - shot for the Monster. It was necessary. Oh - and Cap/PorS - do your feet have an aftertaste to them?
  7. If it's a tapered steerer, yes. That will work. HOWEVER - OP referred to the steerer being a 1.5" steerer tube ie: 1.5" all the way, and therefore non-tapered. You do get them. If it is one of these, then no amount of adapting will work. THe steerer tube will simply be too big for the headtube.
  8. Erm, no... Brussel - that headset you speak of is for tapered steerer tubes, that taper from 1.5" to 1 1/8" along the length of the steerer tube. Then you can fix it with the Cane Creek headset, and jimmy-rig it to fit. For a steerer tube that's 1.5" all the way along, there's no way that it'll fit in a headtube designed for a 1 1/8" steerer tube, apart from trying to either speak with the place you bought it from (swop it out for the right one) or sell and replace. Sorry bro. Wish I could bring better news...
  9. Lookin good, Wes! Should look killer when it's done.
  10. Those look like some SICK forks on those HT's... And the tires!!! I want some!
  11. No messin, mate. I can seriously see why you're going all Chernobyl on us!
  12. I hear ya, bro. A bit at a time... But heck, a party of 8 or 10 can get a lot done in 2 days, especially if we're all digging drainage channels!
  13. Ja bro, there's just so much SAND on there! But if we get another party together like we (should) have this weekend, I reckon it could be fixed in a day or 2...
  14. Might have been from playing too much Shadow of Chernobyl...
  15. Clue - where the noon day gun gets fired... Signal Hill... Cobra is on the list for the future. Right now, this weekend, it's the DH track...
  16. A teaser for you guys.... This is the first double. It just gets better from here!
  17. Should get yourself checked out, mate. Heard that's one of the first signs of Radiation poisoning. Always told you to keep your hands out of the microwave...
  18. Sorry mate, but if that's what your LBS said, then they're not exactly the brightest tools in the shed. Trek / Gary Fisher, Niner, Giant, GT, Silverback, Titus, Pivot & a host of other brands have already embraced the 9er craze, and if your LBS is telling you that the "big guys" are only coming in with their 9ers in 2 to 3 months' time, then they're WAAAAAAAY behind the curve. As for a 9er round the 20k mark, the Silverback mentioned above, or the GT sensor would be the most attractive at that price point. If you're looking at a more AM bike than out and out XC, then I'd suggest to go with the Sensor. The Giant Anthem, whilst being a fantastic bike, is also an XC machine and wouldn't be as good down the hills as the Sensor (Sensor has more travel) Also - why specifically a 9er? Just asking...
  19. Argh! PorS - I'm only gonna be able to make it in the PM. Just been told that we're going to Herman's anus this weekend, and am driving back down at 9h30 / 10 am. Will still be there though!
  20. Looks like a frikkin good deal. New or 2nd hand?
  21. Erm.... the stack looks a bit tall. Surely you should have cut the steerer by an additional 50mm?
