  1. No, no! It's the best! That way, you don't know what's around the corner...
  2. You carrying a spare? Or are you on the black market? Does the original owner know he's going to be giving this arm away?
  3. I'm happy with my Weirwolf 2.3. Very grippy, but you're going to have to CRC them in. Local stockists are out, and the distributors aren't bringing them in anymore. Otherwise - Kenda Nevegal is also very good.
  4. Of course they wouldn't want that... Dent in future profitability thanks to unbought "top end" rims, perceived weakness etc... Would be massively negative for their fronting of the carbon rim as a proper, stronger replacement of alu. I mean, we ALL hit the jumos as hard as Sammo & Gretsky, don't we? So therefore we'll also suffer from broke-spoke. Snigger.
  5. I would like to add the usual (and oft-said phrase of a random, trail building saturday afternoon) FOOK YU! Me hope you catch long time dirty dirty snippy crabbie! Dude - seriously, enjoy it. I am seriously jealous.
  6. I've seen some at my local CLab... they're big Trek retailers, so not really a surprise. Have been eyeing them out myself as well...
  7. You're a bad, bad man, giving me ideas like that. Instant divorce material, that is. Especially at a time like this!
  8. Hey Riyadh, if you saw the top of Vasbyt, there is now a log across the entry-point, that was put there to help prevent erosion as well as to divert water from going down the trail itself, rather diverting it into the wood. There were also alterations done to the diversion on Vasbyt, the trail that peeps SHOULD be using to get up to the main road instead of going up the berm and past the jumps. The entry point is just by the 3rd jump on Vasbyt, off to the right and into the forest. We had to clear out some new trail there, because a big-ass tree had blocked the existing route, and erosion had converted the top section into a WICKED rooty section. Fine for those going down, but not for going up. Also built a bit of a ramp so that the guys coming up that diversion didn't have to get off and huck their bike over a 1/2 metre high log. Other than that, it was just basic erosion-control - creating culverts & channels for water to be diverted down to the fire road as opposed to carrying on down Vasbyt itself, as well as filling in a few sections that have been eroded badly. Also shaped the top berm of Vasbyt a bit, making it a bit smoother and, once again, erosion prevention. Also put the logs that you see on the RHS of Vasbyt by the root drops to help stop peeps coming up... The diversion for those coming up eventually comes out about 30m down the road from the Vasbyt entry chute, right where the fire road bends, and after the massive log pile. Give it a look - it's now a very good diversion for people who have come up the bottom half of vasbyt, and wish to carry on doing ST all the way up to the level.
  9. Yeah... she's friggin hot, so no reason to "enhance" anything...
  10. Personally, I prefer the original version...
  11. bwahaha!! 2 Tatas spotted with dwarves in local forest.
  12. hi ho's, hi ho's, it's off to work we goes...
  13. So when r u getting your Demo? Care to give your Intense to a charitable association?
  14. Jees, was I that open? Loved that little "excursion" we put the guy on. And feck, was that bum-rush ever funny to see! It seriously sounded as if he had broken something! Yeah, alot of fun was had. Will gladly do it again. Next week, okes?
  15. Well, we got some lekker stuff done, and the detour on the way up (to bypass the berm and root sections on Vasbyt) is looking good. Just needs a bit of wetness and riding on it, and it'll be great. Also blocked off the route that peeps generally take when riding UP the top section, so that the point is kinda driven home. Signs to be erected shortly (I hope!) And JW - I could seriously get used to your sled. Wasn't used to the feel of a lounge on wheels, but I started feeling the addiction later on down the track. As a bike to pop my DH cherry on... damn! Just needed to let it do its thing!
  16. Sorry guys - does it make it better if I say I got up at 4h30 yesterday and the day before for a quick pre-work run?
  17. Yeah, but then I'm the one trying to get business done. Kinda hard when nobody else is up and at 'em!
