Great news for the ladies. We have just recieved another trophy to add to the four being raced for in the inaugural " Vlei 24 Hour " The solo ladies will also be competing for a floating trophy thanks to Cliff Barker. This also means that a "Championship jersey" will be won by the ladies Solo winner. Remember.. entries before the 25th will have individual name boards so don't delay..not to mention the Sigma Light worth R1800 for early bird entries.The tention is mounting

I know most people are resting for 94,7... but last Saturday Big Ben and Dangerous Dan rode with us for two and half hours the day before the mtb race, we are again doing a two and half hour green trail ride tomorrow at 7... we will just sneak in the downhill.... can't see myself looking the other way when the adrenalin rush is only meters away.... all welcome..but remember we will be coasting and not racing the GREEN trail.

I have to agree with Ben, the ride last night was superb...all of us are hubbers....is it a co-incidence?? MTMMarbie lost out because of Miss Fortune ( alias rain that did not arrive) we will ride even if it rains..good training for when we have to ride in the rain. Nice to have Glen with us, him being one of the four running the Joburg2c. He will also be doing our 24hour. Welcome Glen.

Hey guys, you have to do this section!!!!!! I went to do the Garmin bit last night...man it sends all sorts of vibes down your spine... I went from Impala Rd on the green trail, the slow climb is 1,29km to the white beacon. Tuesday night we had to walk most of this as it was under construction but hey man!!! I rode it all the way! BIG Thanks to my guys for doing this in double quick time.The accent is 111m. From the top it gets a bit hairy ( for me anyway) The first rock face made me do a double take on my shammy....but I must admit it was exciting, then the second one made me take stock first..next time. The decent was 112m and 1,31km. I would love to see your faces when you have done this. Good enough to go round and do again. See you soon!!

Hi Chris, I wish you the best of luck with your park.Hard work,but very rewarding when you start getting feed back from your friends. Just remember, you are NEVER going to please everyone, no matter how hard you try. God bless your venture like HE has done mine.

The "DOWNHILL" is done.... in my humble opinion....NOT for the "true blue" downhillers as it may have a slightly too steep bump and may not be KAMAKAZI enough. Unfortunately,it is the terrain we have to work with and very little I can do about it at this stage.The trail is also void of rocks and will be fast.Some interesting rock faces to cross. Total decent is 1.3km. I didn't measure the altitudes as yet nor the time to decent...just picked our way through in the dark last night...awesome night ride. The downhill is so good I think we will include it as part of the bigger trails but exciting stuff never the less.Come and enjoy it guys!!!
