  1. And one is never suppose to turn your back on a lion and run, many people that survived a lion attack said that they just stood their ground because then one doesn't look like such an easy prey.
  2. Those tents are nice but out of experience, managing a caravan park, I would rather go with canvas tents because they are much more durable and much stronger for all weather conditions.
  3. Finished project's outside Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  4. Yes they are basically the same and for a learner rider I think it is a great beginner bike, light and handles easy. Yes that's a awesome helmet for the price, all the little extras is a real nice to have. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  5. I've had the opportunity to take the 350 version with the full fairing for a spin way back in the 90s and it was as fast as heck. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  6. So for his 17th birthday I gave my son my credit card to buy himself a helmet, must say, he did fairly well. Accept that a gave him a R1500 limit and he bought a R2100 lid but got R100 discount because it's his birthday. It even has a sunvisor that shifts out of the helmet. 9. Took these pics of the Gariep dam and surrounds on my quick trip to Bloemfontein, Ventersburg, Potchefstroom, Bothaville, Potchefstroom, Ventersburg and back to Groot Brak Rivier last week. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  10. Why do you say that the KLR is uncomfortable for the missus? I thought that it might be my first bike after being without one for such a long time. I haven't ridden one before, although I did a Baviaans trip (+-900kms from Thursday to Sunday) solo with a KLE500 which wasn't too bad. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks Spokey, I did so many of the routes when I had my BMW 650 Dakar, really miss it now that my son has got his bike. I think I will have to make a plan to get a rental and take him on a weekend ride with loads of gravel roads. Just to show him the beauty of our area. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  12. No haven't had one for a few years, currently taking and using every opportunity I have with my son's XR125. [emoji5] Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
  13. I owned a 650 Dakar, I loved it but tank size was a bit small. I have ridden the 1150 GS which I loved, haven't ridden the 1200GS, but they are so flippen heavy. I see that the Honda is slightly lighter than the 1200GS but only a few kgs. I know the GS bikes and they are very reliable. Actually wouldn't mind any of the above. [emoji41]. I don't like heavy bikes and I would love to have the Yamaha Tenere 660 or the 700 when it comes out. I like the shape of the bike, looks rough, tough and a go anywhere bike. 14. I'm with you on the BMW, but if I had the mula, I will definitely be looking at the new Honda Africa Twin. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  23. What is the general feeling about the flu injection? Had one today for the first time, hopefully I will beat the flu this season. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  25. Called a shephards hut, it's our first time and first one. Going to put it up in the caravan park. Sleeps 2 people, small tv/dining room, shower, basin and toilet. Steel construction and going to get covered with wooden planks. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
