Took a short ride with the youngest yesterday, wanted to go out for a ride today but the weather is windy, cold and plain shitty. Now my standby week starts again tomorrow and for next weekend, so no time for practice this week again. [emoji3061] At the end of the month with the long weekend I'll be off, hopefully weather etc will be better then.

Quite a few years back there was a guy who did the mini Attakwas MTB race who arrived at the start with his MTB attached to his motorcycle in almost the same way.

How did you manage to brake that there are 2 lines there? Have you got ABS on your bicycle? [emoji23][emoji23]

I have done 65km/h on a tar downhill on the MTB and that was fast enough already. All that went through my mind was that if one comes down and that speed with only baggies and a cycling shirt you are going to have a few roasties to brag about.

Here by us in the Jonkersberg mountain, part of the Outeniqua mountains, a friend of mine was doing a solo ride coming downhill when he rode into a group of baboons, NOT MONKEYS and the one male stood up on its back legs, my friend said that on that day he had his best time on a hill climb as he had to make a u turn and ride back as he was sure that he will be prey as he is a very skinny bloke.

I guess I'm lucky in a way, alcohol has never bothered me. When I was much younger I tried to finish all the alcohol before my kids get to the age where they can drink, what a stupid idea. They produced more than I could consume. [emoji3061][emoji23]
