  1. Ja, sometimes we neglect to check the basics. And in the end it could be a costly issue later on.
  2. Tyres fitted, struggled a bit but no deflating on either one. So eager for a ride, felt that front wheel doesn't turn easily, checked bearings of the wheel and both turns like grinding paste [emoji848]
  3. I have a sewer removal business and a few years ago on Christmas eve, I got called out to a restaurant whose tank we service. Upon arrival I saw that the tank wasn't full and after I emptied it we found that they had a blockage. Then the ....hit the fan, or the crocks. I opened a manhole and the line decided that the easiest way out was by the manhole I opened. I was ankle deep in ......and when I took my first step, the soft solids pushed through the holes in the crocks, looked like a wors stopper.

    Got them today. [emoji846]
  5. Hey leave my favorite shoes out of this. [emoji1787][emoji1787]. Thought I'd get some slack about them. [emoji6]
  6. Got these tyres today, thanks to Francois from Rush Sports and Pieter from Beans about Bikes Mosselbay for helping me out. [emoji6] New rim tubeless tape and new tubeless valves. Will leave the tyres in the sun tomorrow and fit them during the day. Can't wait to go for a ride.

At least he wont be pumping the tires each week ... [emoji4] ^^^^^this is all that counts at the moment. And if it was weekly it would've been ok, but nowadays it was twice everyday [emoji854][emoji1787]

I just need to start cycling before I get to fat, for the price I get it for, I'll just have to be happy for the help. Can't afford to pay R1000 upwards for another set of tyres at the moment.

Thanks guys. A friend of mine from whom I bought the Onzas gave me a good deal on new tyres so I opted for these as he is out of Maxxis which would have been my 1st choice. Also I must give a shout out to Francois from Rush Sports who actually offered me Maxxis but they will only be available end of March as even they are awaiting stock and I can not cycle for another 4 weeks. So I have redone my tubeless system on the rims since I took the tyres off and had some time on hand.

Hi fellow cyclists. Any feedback on the Vittoria Mezcal 29x2.35 as a front and rear tyre would be appreciated. I cycle mostly gravel roads with some tar to get in and out of town. Sometimes hard pack singel/Jeep tracks, I don't cycle in rainy/muddy weather if I can prevent it.
  11. I've used tubeless for quite a few years already, but I've had 2 bad lucks with the last 2 sets of tyres. Currently the Onza and before that I used the Spez something, also leaked like heck from start through the sidewalls.
  12. The dealer said that he'll give me 50% back and then I'll basically will only need to buy 1 new OTHER BRAND tyre?
  13. Jip so I'm then basically screwed [emoji854]
  14. Hi Bennie, Are you sure its not your rim tape thats the issue? Most often tyres lose air due to rim tape issue. We are however no longer importing the Onza tyres we are just selling off what we have left in stock so you would need take up any warranty issues with Onza directly if you want to pursue that option. Just received this reply, so what now? [emoji2955][emoji849][emoji17][emoji44] Hope this won't end up in a R1500 school fees thing. Then I'll just cycle on the rims. [emoji24] Hi Craig. Thanks for getting back to me. Yes one can see the sealant seeping and leaking through the sidewalls. The shop I bought it from said that I had to just keep on filling with sealant and that it will eventually seal, but now I'm really gatvol struggling. I'm even too afraid to go on long rides because now they deflate in a few hours from 2 to less than 1 bar. Who will I need to contact now since you guys are not the agents anymore because Onza website gave me your name as agents? Thanks for your help.
  15. Our first attempt, they said alcohol, only had Brannas so gave it a shot and it worked very well. Dries up easily and quickly but one smells like a dronkgat when you are out on your first ride. [emoji1634]

    Bloemfontein

I bet you there are more Mahindra bakkies in Bloemfontein than Hilux bakkies. You should have seen what a proper Rose Stad Bloemfontein was 20 + years ago. Studied and worked there. The place was a gem. Been back there a few times and every time Bloemfontein looks worse than the previous visit. Very sorry to see it going backwards but living between Mosselbay and George now and even the people coming down from up country says that we are really very fortunate where we live and with things still working here. Municipal services, local Districts municipality etc.

    Post your car p*rn

I wonder what the kid on the backseat filled his mouth with, looks like he put everything he had to eat in his mouth at once. [emoji1]
  18. I have tried to phone Trailtech as well yesterday, saw their nr as the SA supplier on the www of Onza. Will try again tomorrow. Thanks for the heads-up. I appreciate it. [emoji1305]
  19. I took both my Onza tyres off today as pressurenow doesn't even holds overnight . Strangely, the Svelte rear tyre which leaks less shows very little signs of sealant stuck to the inside of tyre. The Canis front tyre on the other hand, had a decent line/cover from the sealant on the inside. (See attached) I took about a 100ml sealant out per tyre when I took the tyres off. Now the question, according to the www, Rush Sports are the main suppliers of Onza? I see on the www that Onza has got a 2 year manufacturers warranty on the tyres and Ithink that maybe I got tyres from a bad batch. I have send Rush Sports an email and spoken to the shop that I bought it from. Will "they" swap or give me credit for the treat used like with car tyres?
  20. Well, we got 4mm, which is better than nothing.
  21. Did basically the same ride 2 days ago, almost the same time of day. Weather today, headwinds, cool and overcast. 2 days ago, flat seas, no wind and hot. Hoping for rain as it's getting very dry by us.
  22. Wayne this is one of the best I've read in a long time. We've got 1 in her 4th year and 1 starting. Please send this very good advice to my 2 please. And the 3rd one is doing horse riding (13 years old) and it's almost costing more than the studies.
  23. I put 80ml every few months and yesterday I've put another 180ml in and rode on the rollers for a while. Will see what happens. I'm gatvol with these tyres.
