  4. Earlier today (my normal 23-30km route. Kleinbrak beach), at a stage I was quite angry at myself for not leaving earlier as I was up before the crack of dawn already and temps went upwards quite quickly.
  5. Some proper gravel road riding this morning, starting with a lekker 2.2km climp out of Groot Brakrivier. The middle picture is if the pumphouse that pumps water from Groot Brakrivier (Wolwedans dam) all the way to Petro SA, Mosselbay.
  6. JohanDiv, are you mentioning only the 60km? I've entered for the 30km, but had to cancel due to other obligations, but now again things changed and I will be able to go and do the 30km as we are taking my son to Stellenbosch for the university open day on the 29th, is the 30km race as difficult or not?
  7. Just don't flush them down toilets because they flog together which leads to blockages.
  8. We had 2 pekinese x with a dog for about nine years. She gave birth to a litter of 8, all survived but this little white one couldn't cope and we took him back in. Today mom (not in the pic anymore) had to be put down this morning because of heart failure. Tried heart meds for 2 weeks but only got worse with water on the lungs now as well. Only dad (brown one) and son left. Whenever I look at them they're like, where is Rosebud? My heart is so sore and kids doesn't know yet, will have to tell them later this afternoon.
  9. I guess the games we played as kids prepared us for loadshedding.
  10. Very nice BMW in the back ground [emoji123][emoji2509]

Why is that purple one so low, towbar weight? [emoji3061]
  12. Thanks NSBB.New chainring and chain yes, cassette was only put on late last year but chain was worn so it could be that the 11T cog is damaged? I will have a look tomorrow. The big blade chainring on the 2x was way past change date and that I think helped in damaging the 11T cog
  13. When peddling hard, in the smallest cog, 11T, the chain sometimes slips, what could the reason be?
  14. Nice ride this morning, lekker cool weather with the odd raindrops. 27.6km
  15. "curly bar torture device" very good explanation of a bicycle. [emoji1787][emoji468]
  16. Not mine but I did the conversion for a friend. Went 1x (32T) and new chain.
  17. And as far as I know, there isn't shower facilities as one finish at the mall.
  18. Decided on something shorter, less hills and just to spin a bit after my previous ride which caused severe muscle pains from my lower back down to the shins. My son (18years old) actually came and asked me if we could go cycling which I really appreciated. [emoji44][emoji2][emoji16]
  19. There is a "speed prosecution is done using time over distance" (like they have on the N3 in KZN) on the N1 from Colesberg past Beaufort West and even further down South if I'm not mistaken.
  20. I so much want to do the Baviaans again. Only did it once but our 3 man team didn't work that nicely together. I need to up my fitness and I'll need much more TITS if I ever going to do this again. Came in just short of 17 hours with way too little training for such a long race.
  21. First ride for 2020. Struggled like ****, unfit and fat as a [emoji241]
  22. But at that price.......... it's more than double what my bikes worth [emoji85][emoji44][emoji3061]
  23. In Groot Brak we had a little less, but still fairly wet and damp.
