  1. You can also use the R50 Cateye speed magnets (the round ones), remove the housing, then clip them in half with sidecutters and just use half, then you will have one spare!
  2. it's the polarity causing the issue I bought a really strong rare earth magnet, then smashed it into pieces small enought to fit inside my pedal spindle allen key head, I can flip it around till it works and then run a piece of duct tape over it so it cant fall out. If they dissappear down your pedal spindle too far, pack some paper/ cardboard folded up behind it
  3. I'm on my 6th pair of road shoes and 5th pair of mtb shoes in 4 years... Yeah yeah I'm a shoe slut, but most replacement were due to me crashing my brains out and ruining my shoes.

  5. Dammit and I entered so many times! Now I'll just have to buy my own
  6. Excellent Combo, the Captn is awesome all round on the front and the fastrak rolls great on the rear, you could een slide a renegade on the back to save another 100g and roll a bit quicker. the fastrak seems like it's a bit of a bigger volume though for HT's
  7. I have also evolved beyond the car, I an now digital cycling on the hub, at which I have turned pro, and no longer require the use of primitive cars as I order everything I need to sustain my earthly frame online.
  8. What did you not understand about my tongue in cheek self mockery?
  9. PS I wear Compression socks and Compression Tights - but not during sport. I don't run. Because I suck at running I have self-justified this as Evolution. Running is so pre-industrial revolution... Once man has evolved enough they can master the art of tools and bicycles.

  13. I just spoke to polar last week and they say do NOT use ecg gel Just water - and the lifespan of the wearlink strap is only 18 months. My HR reading are also scattergrams at the moment - I need a new strap.
  14. The Record he set was 39:30 on a road bike with CX tires. This year he rode 41:00 on a std road bike - after running up, and back down to fetch hi bike (Mast Challenge run time for Darren was 49 mins - only 45 secs behind One Chop. -In a frikken gale force headwind. The man is a cyborg.
  15. You are wrong - He rode it this year on his Stock Standard road bike, with Easton Clincher wheels on 23c training tires - Nothing special about it - other than the rider. I even went over the chat to him afterwards and inspected his wheels myself.
  16. I have some fastraks for you - they are 2bliss and light as a non ust at 600g
  17. Dude if I had those legs i would have 1 x Tour Stage win... and a a TDU victory... Those are the Gorrilas legs I started cycling for two reasons: To prove you dont need calves to ride a bike To build some damn calves LOL
  18. The state of some of the bikes in our 'hood are bad. The chain is so dry you can hear is squeaking a block away, and when they ride down my little road the brakes are not effective enough to stop at the stop sign so the dude walks down the hill. no lights, or even reflectors... Maybe to sneak up on the criminals?
  19. Was the jogger using the dedicated jogging lane - on the wrong side of the road? Talk about a clothesline takedown... What the hell is wrong with us wimpy cyclists - "Mosquito bites cyclist - Cyclist down" bunch of frikken pansies!
  20. Get the prevail - fit is great and more customisable than the Giro - it also looks better on your head.
  21. I have the Spesh Prevail and my Medium is about 185g I also have a giro Prolight M and it's weight is about 180

  23. where that palette was was steep and icy when wet...it's rutted there now from braking, but much safer. I know a few dudes who ate some wood chips there too. It was the last palette before the actual bridge
  24. That Rock drop is way easier if you don't try launch off the rock but rather bunny hop over it and use the palette as a landing slope...nice n fast and very gentle. Did i hear someone removed the palette?
  25. Hoogster made Jens choose his twitter name as @thejensie regardless of Hoogie flossing his bum with barbed wire...JENS is still the hardest element known to man.
