  1. Yeah it was yours on the hard drive.
  2. My feedback (for further debugging): I received the same message everytime I wanted to join : The route did not exactly match the one on my Local routes. I eventually had to delete my local route to be allowed anything. On the PC I could not figure out a way to race without download. I had downloaded about 10% when the race started.... Also we should get a code. Many overseas guys registered but never raced. I could not even register (? due to not being downloaded). Nice ride BTW!
  3. I am not a very brave soul. I enjoyed the marathon although I had to miss the last climb with a smashed drivetrain. What made a difference is that I started to trust the markings (first time ever the 2arrows were used properly). I liked a bit of recovery after the big climbs. The "transition" part on the north was a bit flat and boring but I accept that it was needed to make up distance. I will definitely bring my mates soon. Some days I want to just get some quiet TITS without any white knuckle stuff. Do you have such a route there?
  4. As much fun as it may be - I can't see much point in bashing each other here. The finding has been made. Due process will follow including explanations with a finding. None of that will change because of what is said here. I like debates because it brings points to the fore but pure handbags at 10 paces is counterproductive.
  5. @PowerTap: I want to unregister but cannot do that. Please help?
  6. I would have liked to hear the supplement people explain that one away. If it was not labeled they can get sued big time.
  7. My last minute sub of taking out Kittel and putting in Greipel is killing me!
  8. Good. At least a precedent excists. Here is hoping...
  9. Ooh He He. I hope you are mates. As you know Dale is our resident "streamer" of races and the main hub of the Hub. I think prostitute grade is a new grading system.
  10. Is there any explanation? I am not following as closely as I would like to but this is weird. He should have been closer. Team?
  11. I felt like Wolraad Woltemade : making 2 trips in my small bakkie to shuttle riders back the end. I found a few groups coming from Atteridgeville on the road as I was going home. Picked riders up and dropped at the finish. All did more than 80k by then. I am sure they must be gatvol...
  12. Nausea is a symptom and not a disease. This means the treatment depends on what is causing it. Some random facts: Maxolon is a reasonable starting point. Some pregnant fairies swear that ginger helps. Small sips/volumes irritate less than big servings. Zol is a very good anti-emetic. Cramps and diarhea mostly indicates gastro-enteritis. Many causes - if you dont get better quickly you must get a pro opinion. Lastly: It does wonders for power to weight ratio on the bike...
  13. Miskien moet ek 'n girlfriend kry...
  14. Jip. Lyf is seer vanaand.
  15. Those results normally get "cleaned up" for a few days. Talk to them. I am sure it will be sorted. They normally have manual and even camera back-up. Relax and have beer.
  16. Long story. It will sound like excuses. My point is that I realised today that bike maintenance on trail is also something one must learn and maybe even practise. It may save or loose more time than riding down cliffs. For the second time in three years I completely mangled a rear derailleur a long way from home. The first time I had to walk to civilisation and bum a lift. This time I knew what to do and put my bike into 3rd gear (S/S) and rode home. A skill that gave me a lot of pleasure. My hand and arm looks like I played a game in the old Carlton League. Being bashed up and under stress as well as tired is not the time to figure it out. Also add some basic bike maintenence courses/ vids to your cycling education.
  17. Inadvertently: I have been trying to get an angle. Even looked at previous hearings. I did not find one. IT DOES NOT MEAN THERE IS NO EXPLANATION! It was very popular before because it could be used Ad Hoc if testing was suddenly expected at a previously unexpected time (usually out of season training) with longer visible drugs like Testosterone. At the time bloodtests were not routinely done (only urine). Remember that metabolites are usually visible after the drug has been cleared from the blood.
  18. I will have to check but 99% sure it is synthetic since it actually "obstructs" normal renal function.
  19. Cav is not going to start. Most Hubbers down 1 for the whole tour?
  20. I had the impression that was an area.
  21. I will give you my experience though: I give out an estimated 60 prescriptions for A/B per week. I treat very severe (mostly diabetic) infections. Worldwide figures indicate an average of 60-80% amputations in these situations. Desperate situations in other words. I have not used Probenicid in the last 10years. If anybody (including senior people in pharma or any sportsman) can show that routine A/B are laced routinely or by accident by an unspecified second active substance, they will become very rich. It will amount to huge malpractise suits. It would be catastrophic if a patient had a hypersensitivity reaction or developed blood abnormalities from a drug that was illegally added without labeling it. Both reactions are well described. I am not aware of any commonly used medication that comes with a standardised addition of Probenicid. Allopurinol and Colchicine is the accepted standard of treatment for gout. At times Cortisone and NSAID's are added. It does not increase the concentration of any drug, it merely slows down excretion of some drugs and thus prolonging the plasma half life. This only applies to some drugs. It does not have any or minimal effect on hepatic metabolism. All and all it will have to be "the perfect storm" to be ingested by accident. I hope that "perfect storm" exists. If someone has a plausible explanation I will gladly accept it. PS: it should NOT be used in acute attacks. It can actually worsen acute attacks thus it is used as a chronic medication for gout.
  22. Problem is you directed your question at Proffesors and Hub know it all's. I think nobody had the correct credentials you specified.
  23. I think nobody picked Horner. He is a Grand Tour winner. Funny how it just never made much impact.
  24. I love Jens but he might be thinking of a very short TDF.
