  1. Futility - Murder (a Katatonia cover)
  2. Nice route Tom. I have ridden some of the jeep tracks below Table Mountain, including up to the block house. Nice suggestion, had forgotten about riding there. Thanks for the reminder.
  3. Zebra & Giraffe - A Long Way Down
  4. For those interested in attempting to learn to ride a unicycle, or are looking for some tips, pointers, help on getting better on one wheel ..... come through to the Uni Workshop. Date : Saturday 28th November Venue: UCT Student Parking area, UCT Upper Campus above the sports hall Time: 8:30 - 10:30 It's a little earlier (time-wise) than I initially anticipated however we'll be on the 4th day of our Unicycle Convention and we're off to Tokai Forest later in the morning for a Mountain Uni ride and to practice for our Downhill Championship happening on Sunday 29th November in Tokai. Anyone wanting to join us on our MUni ride on the Saturday is welcome to come through.
  5. Not looking to join an event or ride. Looking for suggestions of places to ride. We're arranging our own XC ride with around 10-15 Uni riders.
  6. Looking for suggestions on a XC ride of around 20km's in Cape Town ? I know there are some routes on Red Hill or thereabouts but have never ridden anything there. Most if not all of my riding is done in Tokai down the single tracks due to the technicality. Looking for more of a cross country style ride which will kick off events for our 5 day Unicycle Convention. Do you guys have suggestions ?
  7. I'm quite amazed at how many people defend the cyclists in the wrong ?! You know it's wrong but you vehemently support them and bash the people pointing out the wrongs ? One cannot justify the wrongs by pointing out the wrongs that other people do. It just doesn't work that way.
  8. Kruder & Dorfmeister - Time Zone
  9. Swallow The Sun - Weight Of The Dead

  11. Cheers ... thanks Would love to add a geared hub to my setup, but at around R12 000 for the hub alone.... I think I'll stick with the single speed. Besides the extra gear in the geared hub will be too much for the technical downhill stuff.
  12. Nice video and skills, enjoyed watching. Trials is very difficult, well done
  13. The weight has definitely been very noticeable, more than I thought it would be. As for a difference to my riding.... hard to tell as I have only been on one ride with it so far. Looking forward to the Downhill event in Paarl this morning to see how it handles the larger drops.... I suspect that it will handle a lot better than I will .... definitely going to bring out all the protection gear for this one.
  14. Arranged a trade in on my old Qu-Ax Cross 24" for a new KH 24" Mountain Uni. It has already been on a ride, hence the dirt Huge thanks to Alan at OddWheel Unicycles Parts KH 24" 2009 Frame KH 36 Hole 47mm Rim KH 2009 Moment ISIS CrMo Hub KH 125/150mm Moment Cranks (Dual Hole) - from my Qu-Ax uni Jim Cielencki Odyssey Pedals - from my Qu-Ax uni KH Forged Seatpost Qu-Ax MUni Saddle (with custom Cow Skin cover) Duro Wildlife 24"x3" Tyre At around 2kg's..... yes 2kg's ... lighter than my Qu-Ax, the KH feels so nimble. Tackling any uphill is so much easier as I have more power-weight torque. Downhills and drops are a little trickier because the KH responds so much faster and also doesn't have the weight momentum to roll over roots and rocks as easily. Overall a great uni and so looking forward to bombing down more technical single tracks with it

  24. I've been using 7 for a couple of months and I'm quite happy with it. Much better than XP imo. There are some compatibility issues with some apps which relate to some drivers.
  25. We're doing another group ride this coming Saturday, 24th, in Tokai. So keep an eye out, stop and chat, and have a go on a 1 wheeler
