  2. "Running club licenses Running licenses will be available in Central Gauteng and KZN. Current Athletics South Africa (ASA) regulations mean you can only belong to one running club. If you live in Central Gauteng or KZN and choose to join Team Vitality you will need to resign from your current running club and send us your clearance letter and the completed ASA application form so that we can apply for your license on your behalf. We are currently working with Western Province Athletics to secure licenses in that region and aim to roll out licenses to the other regions during the year " So Gauteng North Runners cannot join?
  3. B Big thanks for this! I saw someone with one of these packs yesterday, seriously good product. Ordered two Solace packs

  5. The 2nd guy is a master (50+)! Goeie F*k, managed to stick with them till the first climb but they dropped me like an anvil, managed to come in 6th eventually. Thabang is superfast, and a really nice guy, always have time for a chat. really looking forward to the next race.
  6. Salomon XT wings did the same to me, they have anti-pronation skeleton in the shoe (or something like that). did not experience it sofar with the speedcross

  12. I saw that, and was in two minds on the duathlon or a trailrun. in the end I decided to take the one closer to me (centurion) also the duathlon distance is a bit funny (or its a typo) Run 1km / MTB Bike 20km / Run 5km
  13. the 1 the 1080 road shoe is 8mm the 790 trail shoe is 10mm hopefully my feet doesn't notice the difference
  14. I bought myself a pair of these. According to the expert at the shop, these are the equivalent to the new balance 1080 I use to run road with. will test them the weekend at the Ilimin8 run at Avianto
  15. I have two sets of speedcross and they are great, but... I found that they are almost impossible to run with in Summer. They are made for mud and snow running (hence the M&S printed on the side) in Europe, so they are very warm to run with. In our summer weather it feels like your feet are burning of. So I only use them in winter for casual wear and trailrun with new balance as my road shoes are new balance as well. I also had a pair of the first S-Lab trail shoes, man, those were brilliant, however was limited to 300k's and more expensive than caviar...
  16. I Phoned them, they are still structuring the whole thing "will be up somewhere in February"

  21. Normal road shoes should be ok for gravel, but as soon as it gets a bit rougher, get proper trail shoes. Also, stick to the same brand as you use on the road.
