In France it is 1m - if a cyclist is knocked down the driver of the vehicle is automattically to blame and has to prove his innocense And it works beleive me I have ridden in France

Of my 3 knock downs 2 were from the front (cars turning right infront of me ) and 1 (my latest ) from the rear If the truck driver had adhered to the 1,5m rule I wouldn't have been knocked down - so go figure ??? It's back to the lack of policing our road rules for vehicle drivers and cyclists alike i road in France where there is a 1m rule and beleive me it works - why ? Because the road users respect each other and cyclists and thte rulesof the road are enforced and obeyed

Hi Guys, Anyone see the advert for the Momsen Mudscoop in bicycling last months eddition ?? I am very keen on getting 3 of these for my bikes - but guess what ??? the internet adress is for the wholesale site only. I did send a request as to where I can find a dealer in cape Town but no reply ! Any of my fellow hubbers know where I can purchase the Mudscoop ?

I'm now thinking >> Bryton Rider 35T or Garmin Edge 800 what are the hubber's views on this ?

Anyone out there had problems with Polar back up ? My 725S went in for repair - bust infrared window and water leak Came back with new O-ring @ R140 but not working - completely dead ! When I sent it back to Polar I was told it's an old unit (I've had it for 7 years) and they don't stock any spares They also stated there was water damage - hello !! that's why it went in They said there was nothing they could do !!!! I have a 34 year old VW Kombi and I can get any spares I want and Poar recon a 7 year old "state of he art" heart rate monitore is obsolete ???? Oh and they stated that seeing as I had had so much usage out of it I couldn't expect anything more >>>w.t.f. !

And do you David George will be there ??? And if so who will ride with him and for what team ? Just done the Adventure and I know there wil be no testing in this race !

My kids are all grown up - I'm in CT - my daughter, son in law and grandson ih JHB and they are coming down this weekend to do some riding , sight seeing and chilling. My son is in Utah USA and I'm going over to ride 24hours in Moab MTB race next week - how cool is that !!! Can't wait - life is sooooo good !

It's not a "clicky thing" just limited to the number of cyclists that can be supported in the middle of nowhere ! You could always wait till just before the race and thn pick up one of the many entry spots for sale on this forum

The figures can't be wrong - entries sold out in how many minutes ????
