  1. I'm only gonna do two Sani's, as soon as I can get an entry - and then I am going to move up to the Jhb2c. Wink wink, nudge, nudge!
  2. Thank you Lone Ranger, but besides the risk of breaking these rims - what are the advantages of better hubs etc?
  3. A little bit of common sense goes a long way

  6. Push the o ring all the way down, gently get on the bike and sit with all your weight in the riding position. Now get off the bike and check the o ring - the fork in the unlocked state should have travelled roughly 20% with just you body weight. More than 20% it needs more air, less than 20% there is too much air in the fork. Sounds to me that your fork has too much pressure.
  7. Hi There, So I am pretty new to Mtbing, have been riding for about a yer now and see a lot of guys recommend upgrading the wheels on your bike as one of the best upgrades. I currently have a Scott Spark 950 with the standard alexrims xc 49 wheels on. I know most people say these are not very good rims, but they have served me well. What I would like to know is - what would the advantages be of changing to say Stans ZTR rims? I would go for the Arch as I weigh 95kgs. Is it all about weight/ strength? What would be the difference between the Stans 3.30 hubs and my standard deore hubs? Thank you

  9. Get a new better faster bike,if the wife complains, get a better faster quieter one!
  10. Dont even attempt to pump any other way than with the correct shockpump! You can seriously damage your fork/shock - the shock pump is low volume high pressure. Im in Centurion if you need any help Ill be happy to help and have all the equipment.

  18. 1. Seeding should be done properly. 2. We all enjoy technical riding, but I think in order to be allowed to enter the 40km you must have done a 20km in the same series under a certain time - this would be an indication of your speed and technical ability. And then before you are allowed to enter the 70km, you must have completed a 40km in a certain time. 3. Routes should not join. Thought the 40km route was awesome, will be working towards walking less next year - it was tough but serves as motivation to train harder.

  20. Hi Guys, I have a Conti Protection X-king 2.2 on the front and a Schwalbe Rocket Ron2.25 on the back, the tread patterns are very similar, I have also had a wider tyre on the front than in the rear, but this is the first time that I have a narrower tyre in front.
  21. Hi There, I just replacedmy front tyre and realised it is a 2.2 and my rear is a 2.25, will this be an issue?
  22. Dankie - Rudolf, lyk awesome!
