  5. I have one, awesome rack - a bit heavy but then i drive a double cab, no problem, not a Thule but works as easy and as well
  6. We have all done that, the argument is that you cannot convert "tubeless ready rims" without rim strips/rim tape. You need proper tubeliss rims to convert without rim strips/rim tape. These rims do not have spoke holes on the inside - between the rim and tyre, the spoke holes are between the rim and the hub - if that makes sense. The area between the rims and the tyre is solid - hence no rim strip/tape needed.
  7. Not even close. That is a tubeless rim

  9. Nice show, please some specials next year! How crazy were those 32inch cruisers?
  10. I would like to thank Squirt for the best watering hole at the Crater cruise that I have ever experienced!! For those who rode the Crater you will know that it was a scorcher! There were also some very crappy watering holes, and some that were not so hot closer to the end of the race, as we started in E batch some of the watering holes were pretty dry by the time we got there. And then we arrive at the Squirt hole, approx 80km's in, we got hosed down as we were approaching the tables and then got a free chain lube, Ice cold water and energy drink as well as water bottles WASHED and refilled with ice! There were also bowls of sweets and eats. Thank you for this stunning hole, you made the last horrible 25km's much easier. You have made me a customer for life!
  11. I have tried Ghetto, Stans, wire bead tyres, tubeless ready tyres and proper tubeless tyres - I took best, cheapest combination - and this worked for me: 1. Proper Stans tubeless conversion - R 500 2. Front wheel - Proper UST tyre, just for the peace of mind. I have had a front tyre burp and that never ends well! look at Maxxis for good value R 450 3. Rear wheel - I am happy to use normal wire/kevlar bead - currently running Rocket Ron and will be replacing with another Rocket Ron when this one is done. Works for me, very happy with this setup.
  12. Problem seems to be that the pin that pushes the pin out the chain is slightly too thick, sad as the manufacturer claims that it is a 9 and 10 speed breaker? We have tried it on both 9 and 10 speed chains - no luck
  13. Thhanks guys!
  14. Hi Guys, so after buying two multitools with k@k chainbreakers I ended up with two quicklinks in my chain due to a damaged link. Will this be an issue? Oh and I have found a decent chain breaker now! Not a multi tool, just a breaker.
  15. And as always there is some punk with a *** comment, why should we not be able to go out and practice/enjoy our favourite past time - you are missing the big picture!
  16. No, no bicycles allowed on the highway - also no motorbikes with an engine size of smaller than 125cc.
  17. Just wrap some self vulcanising tape around the arms cage - no btl will come out there and you can use any cage. I buy the R 30 plastic cages and have never lost a btl!sms me your cell number for a picture - 083 648 4060
  18. What he said
  19. Are those the wales from W2W?
  20. Had an awesome ride, just think they should swop the dates of the Clarens event and the Crater - Clarens wont be as cold and Crater wont be as hot!
  21. Murder wife, claim life insurance - buy more bikes. Park them wherever. No seriously, get a lcd tv - hang on the wall put bike below it, now you can stare at the beauty while watching TV!!
  22. Nice bike, good components - only problem is the weight - weighs over 14kg. I think most of the weight is due to the wheels those Kore wheels are quite heavy. All in all good value for money.
