  1. I obviously do not have the Motolite design but you are welcome to the other designs. DM me you email address and I will send the files on.
  2. This us a very common size used on all kinds of balance bikes and other kids ride-on toys. I will be very surprised if they don’t have.
  3. It takes time to write such reports. Thank you to the OP for the great articles. I hope we see the last one soon. At the last account you were still lying seventh if memory serves. We need the “sprint to the line”!
  4. I was working on the assumption (based on what is provided in the post) that he is referring to swapping the levers only and not the entire brake lever master cylinder assembly. That makes a huge difference.
  5. The main issue is whether the 6100 levers would fit on the existing set. From looking at the images on the Shimano website and manuals, it appears as if the designs may be different. The 445 clearly works with a push rod connected to the piston. It appears as if the 6100 has a different actuating mechanism pushing directly on the piston. It does not appear as if the levers are interchangeable.
  6. So I eventually managed to get my lathe sorted out. I had to wait for parts and there was unfortunately no alternative. I made two sets. One for RomP and one for JustMe. Chris (Just Me) says he bought the Marvel Universal kit at CycleLabs and does not need it anymore. I am happy to give it to the whomever may need it. What you see in the photo's I posted above, is what you get - just slightly improved and using better pipe.
  7. I agree. My Honda Blackbird had rims that were partly painted with raw polished aluminium around the edges. Autosol is absolutely brilliant for that. They also have polish specifically designed for stainless steel and for anodised aluminium.

  9. I really don’t like red rubber grease. I helped a friend of mine do a complete strip down restoration on a VW Karmann Ghia and he used red rubber grease on anything that remotely resembles rubber. It turns into a sticky gooey mess in very short order. I am not saying that you cannot use it as they claim that it is good for the assembly of brake and clutch hydraulic components. Based on my experience though, I won’t.
  10. Yes. If it burnt holes in the pistons (or caused heat related damage to the pistons) then it was over fuelling. A diesel is different to a petrol engine. In a petrol engine a rich mixture reduces combustion temperatures. In a diesel it is the opposite.
  11. I have to say that it is a nerve wracking experience. I shot competitively, have my Protea Colours and was fairly successful and blessed in my endeavours. When Drugfreesport SA ask you to step aside and pee in the little vial, you suddenly start worrying about that Disprin you took two weeks ago!!! It is almost a case of you don’t know what you don’t know. And then the wait for the results ???? I don’t know how you can knowingly dope and live with the stress but I suppose anything for that extra edge. And yes I was clean every time. I stayed away from any and all supplements and medication and even things like energy drinks. Too much hard work, time and dedication to throw away on testing positive for something that was taken in ignorance or innocently.
