  1. It's even nicer in real life!!!
  2. They wanted to form a riders association (again) but nothing came of it. As far as I could tell it was a case of everyone would not mind having it but hardly anyone was willing to do anything, making life even tougher on the one of two trying to do something...
  3. Altitude tents are put up around your bed, creating a low oxygen envirnoment (like at high altitude) where your body is forced to produce more red blood cells. Theory goes that you should train at low altitude so that the body gets the oxygen it needs to function. Then sleep at altitude so that the body creates more red blood cells. Are you refering to Hyberbaric chambers Phen? They are used for decompression for divers with the bends, old people who get some or other medicinal benefit out of using it somehow (???) and testing lab rats (my favorite lab test ever, riding in a hyperbaric chamber full of helium But we were not allowed to talk ) Would love to experiment with a tent!
  4. 3600 Pounds just for the generator, you still have to buy the actual tent then. Suppose that might explain why you dont see many of them around... http://www.altitudecentre.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=61_69&products_id=134&SID=1d9532b2aa509ac458f048474ff61161
  5. Doubt there is a minimum wage in SA. The UCI minimum is only for Pro-Conti and Pro-Tour teams. Conti minimum wages are set up by the national federation as far as I know. I was told that it is quite high in France, where as in Italy and Switzerland quite a lot of Conti riders pay some things themselves, depending on what crappy team they got themselves into. Please tell more about this Giro upgrade and more conti teams!!!
  6. Funny how some people still don't understand...
  7. Never seen Zipps with shimano decals before, funny what they get up to. Do you have a link? Very funny seeing all of the rebranding. Or the 'brandless' goodies.
  8. Wow! That is quite the shocker! Rebranding is obvious. Cover up the Shimano decal and they might have thought that they could fool some clueless people. Why use it though!? Run out of Sram cranks? Or maybe Sram does not offer the crank length that the rider wants, but that is unlikely.. Interesting
  9. The Easton Tempest 2 rims were Zipp 404 without the dimples. Easton brought out a completly different wheel with their EC90's which I find to be a much nicer wheel. Being an 'upgrade' from the 404 rim it should actually be better. Right!?
  10. Is that all? Have you noticed how much the Rand has gone down since 18months ago?
  11. Are there not any second hand bikes around worth taking a look at? In that price range and for a first bike something second hand is usually well worth the effort of looking about. Of the two I would go with the Merida, but also suggest taking a look at a Schwinn. http://www.schwinnbike.com/products/bikes_detail.php?id=910
  12. This is what I do Right click on the image. Send to. Mail recipient. Resize It then pops up in an email. Drag and drop onto desktop and there we go.
  13. Thanks Oom! It's a lovely country and a lekker dorpie that you are in. Enjoy your stay! Nam definately has a better 'feel' to it in comparison to SA, but I have to admit that it has also changed in the last few years.. p.s. In comparison to SA the crime levels are low, which is always nice.
  14. UCI kit, like the boys who did the Giro. On white Look's with SRM's. Ooooo
  15. Lekker Jacques! Watch out for Gastauer

  17. Beter than what just happened in Poland... A car plowed into a group of 16 cyclists. Most of them aged around 15 years...
  18. And the winner is: Mampara The NCF decided on it last night and as long as the UCI has no problems with it (you never know with those people) the jersey should be made within the next while. Once again, THANK YOU ALL! I think this was a great success as there were a lot of brilliant designs and ideas. I knew that I could count on you Mampara would you please PM me your details so that I can send you your prize!
  19. Alright Donkey... Now that the time is up you will have to give me a bit of time to sort out who the winner is. Thank you everyone for all of the great designs and hard work! I really appreciate it! To be continued..

rotflmao! Sorry Klein means 'small' in german. Hover the mouse over the 'small' picture and it tells you that it is a 'small' pic, which you need to click on to make it 'big'. Jan Ulrich bikes are made by some unnamed company in Italy, no one seems to know who they are. Klein belongs to Trek, so extremely unlikey that Ulli would ever consider that.

What am I supposed to look at? I'm obviously missing it. I really doubt that they are Klein's
