  1. SIS has that in it? I had the impression that SIS was a good product, without ever seeing it. Suppose that is what marketing does for you. How many other things have it?
  2. As for what happened on Maurice... I am innocent! All that I can say!
  3. Although Mud Dee's kit nearly takes the cake I have yet to inform him officially As I said initially, the date can and has been shifted until next week so you all still have time. I will confirm the exact day as soon as I get a response to an email. Thank you SO MUCH for all of the effort and work so far! The response has been much better than I could have ever hoped for!
  4. Looking good!!! I think we did have some XL kit, but I would have to go and look. Submit pics by either posting them here or mailing them to me. To submit here click on a reply button and you will see a little picture above the text box, click on that and away you go. or dancraven[at]gmail[dot]com
  5. Spoken like a true Champion! While we are at it, Cherry, what exactly do you do for a living? I'm asking because I am obviously out of the loop with the Red Rocket thing..
  6. Just wanted to add. You only have to design a jersey, but the prize is a complete set of normal TeamFidiBC.com cycling kit (bibs, shirt, gloves, socks).
  7. Straatvark: Thats a fantastic idea! Will create a poll once we have some more entries. We all like Cherry's very professional work, but the idea is the most important, not the quality of work! I might just have to give Cherry a handicap, she seems to be too good at what she does I received an email last night which has the most 'groundbreaking' idea in it so far and would love to see more creativity like that!
  8. Yip, that would be perfect. The mockup that i posted above was just done playing about in Paint.
  9. My team (www.TeamFidiBC.com) has just given me to the go ahead to design a Namibian Champ Jersey to wear for the 2008 season. No such thing has ever existed before so I need help in designing it. So... Whoever comes up with the best design will win a full set of FidiBC kit (bibs, shirt, gloves and socks made in Italy by oneleven www.tecnowear.it) posted to you by yours truly. Designs can either be posted here or sent to me at dancraven[at]gmail[dot]com The closing date has been extended to Monday 17h00, just in time for the NCF meeting to make their decision. Other info: I would like to have the Sun from our flag integrated into the design but otherwise do not have any requests. Colours can be whatever you like but obvious choices would come from the flag. Namibian Flag: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/00/Flag_of_Namibia.svg/800px-Flag_of_Namibia.svg.png UCI Rules from http://www.uci.ch/imgArchive/Rules/1gene-E.pdf page 75 1.3.069 On the national champion's jersey, the following advertising spaces shall be authorized: ? on the front and back of the jersey, in a rectangle 10 cm high; ? area comprising shoulders and sleeves: maximum 5 cm high in a single line; ? on the sides of the jersey: a 9 cm wide strip; ? the manufacturer's label (25 cm 2) may appear once only on the jersey and once on each leg of the shorts. these advertising spaces shall be reserved for the rider's usual sponsors. Here's an idea to kick start your creative mind! Craven2008-03-18 01:38:48
  10. Thank you Wayne! I was in such a daze that I didn't even realize that you were there taking pics of Mannie and myself up Du Toit's! What you wrote was marvelous, but still! It does not do justice to what he did for me yesterday, starting off with the 10+ bottles that he brought me throughout the day and then to pull me up the climb like that... I was speechless! What a Diesel! The Average Speed from Paarl to Franschoek was over 48km/h and at the end was just about 40km/h. Average temperature for the day was 39!!! Fun in the sun...
  11. Wow, Roadguy and Ronelle! Thanks! Thats a bit more than I had hoped for, but I'm not complaining Maybe I should try some of that tomato sauce. Then again, I do prefer those little sachets of FiT Gu. But maybe that's just me.Craven2008-03-05 12:51:51
  12. Great pics! Do you by any chance have any of the front part of the peloton going over Vissers the third time? Wind was very quiet today so the racing was easier than expected (dont get me wrong, still hard!). I was impressed by Phen on Vissers, he looked good!
  13. No, I was too busy trimming my lamb chops and drinking coffee with long lost buddies at the back of the pack. Will remember to have coffee before the race starts next time....
  14. Funny how people think that Rock Racing looks so cool and Slipstream looks terrible.. Slipstream must be the best team in the world (not talking strength) and Rock Racing the worst. Kinda like that whole topic about Latrinus' looks the other day. Slipstream is going to be around for a LOOONG time to come and we'll all be hearing a lot more about them in the future. p.s. The SA kit is made to be used overseas. It might seem silly for someone in SA, take it overseas and the people can not get enough of it. Just because of that I think the SA kit is fantastic!
  15. Interesting race today. the wind seemed calm initially that is why a whole bunch of people (myself included) were caught out at the back. Once the group was gone the bunch at the back was a little edgy and no team wanted to commit to the chase. Well done to Hanco and Jacques! Tomorrow is another day. Should be fun. A bit more on dancraven.com

    My New Ride!

Nice looking Bike! Would not mind having one of those myself.
  17. Will you be riding' date=' then [/quote'] That's the plan! Still sorting out some details but am really looking forward to it!
  18. This looks like fun!
  19. Haha! The guy on the log looks just like someone I know..
  20. Lekker for Namibia!!! Petrus Lotto has come a long way and it is great to see his work paying off! Squad is looking good and should make for some very interesting racing! Well done Eugene and Barry!
  21. The stages are short so that the Euro pro's will come. They want an opportunity to ride in the warm, good weather. Short racing distances and where they can add on miles before/after as they please and not kill themselves. That is also why it is a bunch of one day events instead of a Tour. Whatever the reasons though, it is a fantastic idea and should do a lot for SA cycling!
  22. Thank you Windbreaker! You have just saved my sanity and my belief in thehub.
  23. I have the 5 and am also very pleased with it! Don't use the cadence cable either, but love the speedo.
  24. Which Pedal to Choose? Do you like to wear a jean pant?
  25. I just happen to have a set of silver 2006 Campag Eurus and a 2006 Campag Neutron Ultra front wheel for sale if anyone is interested (used). Also a new set of Campag Proton wheels, a 53cm Colnago Dream and 53cm Dart full-carbon frames for sale. Eurus are with me in Jhb now, the rest is in Nam but making a plan aint to hard. PS. I agree with the others, rather get the Campag or Fulcrum rather than the ES.
