  1. Yesterday 2 incidents with our bunch. 1. Descending Constantia Nek towards Constantia, on the blind corner, "pedestrian" walks out the bushes into the road, a mate hit him solid, not sure if there were perhaps other guys waiting in the bushes wanting to jack him or if the pedestrian he hit was hoping my mate would swerve so he could perhaps push him off the bike, but my mate hit him solid, he came off worse than my mate bu a long shot 2. After breakfast at Bottlegger Kenilworth, Main Rd outside Maynard Mall, lady in an uber opened rear door without looking, My luckily swerved, clipped the door over the bars, quite a few scratches and bruises, Fortunately bike seems 100% fine with a small scratch on the bar tape and left shifter hood. Silly season is DEF approaching aswell as danger season where skelms know that cyclists are out on the road and are "easy" targets. Well, Safe to say I know a few guys who aren't such easy targets and it's not gonna end well for skelms of they intend to make a few okes I know their victims.
  2. Agreed John. Fast yes, Reliable NO..
  3. Wowt Van Aert.... I'm copyrighting that LOL....
  4. Will I get blue tick verification next to my username? ????
  5. Kudo to Bikehub Admin. I placed an ad in the classifieds, received a PM from a "Allen Scott" asking to contact him via email and not too long after his PM I received a PM from admin informing me of suspicious activity from said user. I must say Admin saved the scammer loads of effort because I was going to play along, send him to a fake location and then say I'm on the same rig that he is on offshore so we can meet in the canteen if he has an issue with where I sent the driver. Anyway, well done Admin.
  6. Nortje has been really good for us of late. I enjoy watching him bowl, He is the only "Aussie type" bowler we have, at you, in your face, at your body with some proper wheels, always making you feel like you're in with a chance. He seems to be the only bowler who adds doubt to the batsman and who batsman seem too afraid to go after as the guy they need to score at 10 an over against.
  7. The lad is a proper talented cricketer and I loved seeing him score bucket loads vs the Poms in the Ashes, But he has developed a serious case of arrogance. Super happy seeing him get a 1st baller today, the Aus coaching staff wont be happy with that shot he played, regardless of his confidence and form he brought into this series.
  8. Good Start to the 2nd ODI. Aus 103/3 after 18. Ngidi with all 3 sticks including 'Laboo Shane" for 1st ball. 3 drop catches already though.
  9. Takes a strong minded player to not worry about hitting boundaries, even though the field is out which means it's easier to score at a run a ball. Not something you'll often hear as many players believe boundaries ease the pressure, whereas 6 or 8 in an over from good running is just as valuable. Must be down to the team psychologist. I wonder who that may be...
  10. Serious cricketer is Kyle.. Gun batsman and proper proper wk too, with him in the ring and QdK behind the stumps, It's always going to be good to watch, aswell as with Klaasen in the ring too.
  11. We need some consistency though. Will be interesting to see who they bring in for Janneman Malan as that Hammy injury looks like he is out the rest of the series for sure.
  12. 3rd most wanted player across all continental T20 comps(IPL, Big Bash, CPL etc etc) but can't make the SA side who have an oke like Van Biljon who offers absolutely nothing batting at 6/7.. I still believe Morris is also head and shoulders above a player like Pretorious too. Much better all rounder.
  13. Team psychologist. But I have seen he is with many teams across different sporting codes. So clearly exceptional at what he does.
  14. Think I need to have a word to Mark... He needs to be with the mens team ASAP, Especially before the T20 WC...
  15. He's their mental coach LOL... Not exactly sure what his title is, I just know it's got to do with the above LOL..
  16. Congrats Eugene('Dale is his hubber name). I know he has done loads of work with the ladies leading up to the Ladies CWC and they're doing well. 1st ever win over England(massive favourites) and now the highest ever T20 WWC total scored. You must've said something right there bud LOL
  17. Is Du Toits Kloof pass part of any of the stages?? Or shall I say "Was it"?? Out of control fire assisted by Gail force winds is already spreading already onto private property in the surrounding areas. The pics are from a mates WhatsApp status who is a chief firefighter.
  18. Was great seing him race yesterday, Can see he still has a long way to go to get back to full fitness. He fell off the back on the last drag/climb but then made it back to the group after a good descent, Then with 3kms to go when things got heated, he fell off and jut rolled to the finish. Long way back still for Froome Dawg but good signs indeed.
  19. No probs. Let's hope he is a stand up guy and all this was just a misunderstanding.
  20. I live in CT and am happy to do some following up for you!! Send me his details!!
  21. Absolutely Horrible. Was ill in the week(coughing and very snotty) But by Friday I felt better so I thought I would be ok. My Saturday went a little something like this: - Woke up late. - Never had beakfast - Arrived at 5:50 and finished getting dressed and ready just after 6. - Had to try make my way through what seemed like a million cyclists all standing waiting to be loaded in the start chutes, Just made it, fortunately I actually ended up in the front of the bunch (D). - Started ok, sat mid bunch as there are still a few very bad bike handlers in the bunch, especially descending the fast sections from the start till the turn to Vissers, - Turn right at Vissers, group came to a stand still, I was in the wrong gear, tried changing, Dropped chain which got stuck between crank arm and big blade, had to stop(no it was not me who caused the sudden stop, my stop didn't inconvenience anyone fortunately) - Bunch wasn't too far ahead but burnt quite a few matches trying to close the gap, eventually gave u and Sat up and waited for the front of E to catch up, which they did right on top. - joined the front of E through the winding roads an then right past Fisantekraal. Going over the 2nd little ditch in the road, my Garmin mount literally broke off, mount and Garmin went flying, had to allow the guys to pass and turn around to go and find my Garmin Fortunately no cars had come past as it was in the line where the cars right wheels would've probably smashed it. - waited for next bunch, Sat comfortably till the final drag up the R312 where I could feel my illness was not as cured as I thought it was, I started coughing up some really nasty hard green chunky phlegm(sorry guys), So decided to Sit up rather and maybe latch on to a slower bunch. - Sat alone until just after the Boland Landbou school where a few guys caught up, Sat with them till half way up Slent Rd where 2 guys shared a few choice words because 1 was not doing his turn in the paceline, 1 guy decided to attack the bunch, I joined(I know I'm an idiot) and we worked well together till about halfway along Klipheuwel where my legs just couldn't anymore because my chest was also saying no no. I sat up and apologised for not being able to continue and he went on his merry way. - I dragged myself to the finish line, feeling crap in both legs but refusing to stop unless my legs locked which they fortunately didn't do. My mind was in a very very dark place. - I crawled over the finish line in my worst time of 3:29 and just after I finished and sat down, started coughing like a TB patient. I will never ride a race again if I was sick in the week leading up to the race, I have learnt my lesson.
  22. He can get yellow Swiss Stop brake pads for the bike then it will match the Ferrari aswell LOL
  23. https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/mark-cavendish-suffers-puncture-wound-to-his-leg-after-big-impact-crash-at-saudi-tour-448479 I watched today as he split the bunch apart with a massive effort into the crosswinds, Loads of guys had no answers and this was after his crash. The article sums it up though as I was expecting him to sprint but as he said he never had the legs really.
