If you bought your Magura MT6's in SA, you will have to use Magura pads or you can lose your warranty if they fail. Magura has to use Magura parts. I would go with their performance pads.

Mainly weight. I would go with a mix X0 Derailuers XX shifters X0 Crank Set X0 Cassette and X0 Chain Maybe wait a bit and get SRAM X01

I like my 26" bikes, they feel better for me personally and I feel that I have control over them.

Count me in!

Maybe test the bikes before you buy them so you can get a feel? I must say that descents on a 26" soft tail at like 50km/h is great fun much better than a hard tail in my opinion.

Maybe invest in a knife too, I ride with pepper spray and a knife. Most potent Pepper Spray is SWAT.
