  1. Myles How do your clients monitor vitality points now the new points monitor restricts the principal member to own points and minor children? Seems silly to me that so many rewards are based on status yet it's impossible to check other adults on the plan and that they are getting the correct points allocated. For example healthy food dependent on medical but I can't check medical has been done.
  2. It will sell out. But is it really in the spirit of what the PPA is supposed to stand for? Particularly as there are so few road events in the Western Cape anyway? It's not exactly like they need the money.
  3. And the other 50% either goes to an investment fund or gets spent on the mountain.
  4. You are missing the E&HP 30-89 for 80% and 60-89 for 70% in your excel spreadsheet.
  5. No. And Yes. No for Active Rewards as the minimum amount of work you have to do moves from 3 sessions of 60 minutes above 70% (300 points each) or 3 sessions of 30 minutes above 80% (300 points each) OR any combination of these to 4 sessions of 30 minutes above 80% (300 points each) or 4 sessions of 60 minutes above 70% (300 points each) or a combination of these 2. Yes if you have not achieved your 30,000 maximum exercise points as you get points at a quicker rate as the maximum per exercise is higher on E&HP. And Yes: If you can commit to 120 minutes at > 70% then you will get 600 points. If you can do this twice a week then change. Or if you can commit to 3 sessions of 90 minutes above 70% (450 points each) Or if you can commit to 3 sessions of 120 minutes above 60% (450 points each) It is safer to stay on plain Jane version at 900 unless you have a very low heart rate. But then you are pretty poked with KY by Disco anyway.

  7. Afraid so. But there is a distance/speed combo that give you 100 points. WhoopyDo.
  8. It is an interesting decision. If you have already maxed out on your 30,000 exercise points I reckon it's worth staying on 900 goal as you then have to do 3 x 30 minutes at 80% or 3 x 60 at 70%. The points for 60 - 90 minutes at 70% and 30 - 90 minutes on both programs are the same. Only thing that changes is the weekly target. On the whole this will be easier to achieve than the Elite steps unless you have a naturally high heart rate than benefits from the 220 - age formula.
  9. I have used my Tacx exclusively for the past 4 months with no problem getting points for every workout. With power.
  10. Check your points monitor to see if the workout appears there. I have seen the link between Vitality and Active Rewards break down where activity is reflected in points monitor but not on AR. If you are 35 years old or younger you will only get 100 points for the workout posted. So the gym swipe counts.
  11. I would suggest deleting your most recent sessions from Garmin after you have de-linked. Load them again after you have linked. This worked for me when I had issues months ago. Once you are linked and have loaded a session go to Vitality - Fitness Devices and check when the last sync occurred. If this is says almost now then check in points monitor that the workout is reflected. If not the issue is not with the sync but with Disco not loading points.
  12. I'd suggest de-linking GC and leaving it de-linked for 24 hours before you link again. Also, do it from a PC rather than the apps. This worked for me after hassles a few months ago. The link has been working as advertised for months now, points are allocated within 5 minutes of being loaded on the accounts I manage.
  13. Should not be a problem. Only 28,751 finished last year form close to 40,000 entries. So probably add maybe 500 DNF and you've got 10,000 slots not taken up. On a perfect day for a ride.
  14. Cap is stated as 1,000. No brainer to apply to join. EDIT: For steps...
  15. Yes. Took my kids yesterday and was asked if I wanted fries with that. In MackyD speak. Also appears on the voucher now. EDIT: Nevermind, I read Kauai rather than Kulula. Spead reading error. Like PUSH and PULL on a door.
  16. Really disappointed I haven't seen the Daryl Impey got 100 points for leading out Bling Matthews to win a stage at the Tour de France post yet today. Have the muppets lost interest in moaning about the obvious. Or did they read Max du Preez yesterday about how fruitless moaning is are have decided to spare us?
  17. Less than a DSTV subscription with a decoder and a 32" TV thrown in. Even at the Zuma RoE. Awesome. But then you have been listening to David Millar. I don't think I'd handle that. What DNS/Proxy server are you using? I wouldn't mind getting EuroSport player.
  18. I did not miss the point. You'd have to be a lot more subtle for anyone with half a brain to miss the point. Unless of course cluttering up this thread using screen shots of pro riders races with inane comments was your point. But I doubt it.
  19. Are you suggesting he should get 63,000 points in 21 days for doing his job? And then Discovery covers his astronomical medical bills should he have misfortune in a crash as he did last year? I fail to see how a guy who only turns up to ride for our entertainment, with everything provided to him from shoes to glasses nevermind food and drinks, can have any relevance on the Active Rewards programme. There is a massive disconnect between a programme designed for people who are physically inactive and those who are already fit and active or professional sportsmen. But I guess those seeking sensationalism will continue to post rubbish like this.
  20. Then don't bother with 4. It never gets doing.
  21. Great series. Just watched season 4 back to back, all 13 episodes. Not as good as the previous 3 seasons. Ray Donovan season 3 is very dark.
  22. Exactly. How can privacy be a concern if one can still do that? The new version is easier to read as it shows the workout in date order. Not in workout category order where one has to hunt for the relevant item.
